These two are my new favorite couple, they have such a strong commitment and wonderful passion. The trials they go through only make their love grow stronger. It was great to see familiar folks from the previous books, and we get hints for the next book as well. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Alison has a good cast of characters and I like the idea that she creates a family out of friends.
It is a little long, but the up side is she is very thorough in telling her story, which I appreciate.
I chose this book from a giveaway and I'm glad I did.
William "Stone" Alexander has just recently been promoted to the head bouncer of Club Heat. He is excited about the chance to prove himself to his boss, Logan.
Miranda Stevens is Stone's girlfriend and she works at Millennium Marketing. Her latest client is Randall Higgins who owns a club that competes with Club Heat.
When Club Heat is vandalized it is apparent to everyone that Higgins has something to do with but they can't prove anything. When Higgins begins to cross the line with Miranda will Stone be able to keep her safe?
This is a great book with lots of intensity in and out of the bedroom!
I loved how protective Stone was of Miranda and in all honesty I love that he is a bouncer. There are not enough books with the main male character having a job like that. I liked how tight he was with his bosses and how they all came together when they recognized the threat that was out there.
Miranda was insecure and was scared of Stone working at the club with all the beautiful women. I think as a woman that is totally understandable! I loved the girls that Miranda worked with and how close they all were.
My one pet peeve was that I couldn't understand how or why Miranda kept working on the stuff for Higgins. He was such a psycho and there had to be a way to get out of the contract. I was shocked at how his goons went and it would give me nightmares!
I love how strong Miranda and Stone were by the end of the book but I know their nightmare is not over yet!!
