You play as a character from the show except Sheldon. No one's murdered, but someone messed up Sheldon's stuff sos you're helping figure out who (it's like a plot from the show - silly). Each character has a special ability. The pieces are pretty nice, but come scratched up b/c that's what plastic does. They added some rules to 'help' people that can't make it to a room to spice it up (Sheldon texts them, which isn't something I'm sure he actually does in the show). It's a little silly and not game breaking/mechanically 'too' interesting so it's really optional.
The board is fun. The pictures of the characters are cartoons, so that's fun/silly. sometimes I don't like it when it's just stock photos from the show.
The rules are....not very good. There are rules for 2 players, which is not horribly skill based if you both know what questions to ask unless you're both really good at bluffing or bad at logic. The special abilities aren't well explained and a 'rumor' is never defined, but this isn't considered a 'real' game so there really aren't a lot of info or FAQ's to explain what one should officially expect to do so plan to make up some house rules that make sense to your group.
We played rumors the same as accusations and when you accuse/rumor someone did something, you move them to the room and then they start from there on their next turn so you can 'force' active players off track from where they want to make accusations/rumors.
P.S. if the seller had simply contacted us and said it was on order or going to be late we would have been ok. Communication!
