Ultimately, I desired more practical advice which this book was sorely lacking. I do strongly recommend Peter Walsh's book, "It's all too much" which I found practical filled with great advice much of which I have implemented.
There is nothing more important to myself and my family than the time we spend together.
That is oftentimes a challenge due to things we are use to seeing as necessary time constraints such as cleaning the house, organizing photos, fixing broken toys and electronics, etc...
Joshua presents the idea of "less is more" as not just a philosophy but a day in, day out way of life.
This is the book I wish I could give to my kids grandparents without it immediately insulting them.
If you are looking for practical, beginner level ways (and even advanced level ways) of creating more time for your family, more space for what is important, and more relaxation and peace within your home, give Joshua's book a read.
As other reviewers mentioned, not only will Joshua help you with practical ideas, but he'll give you the "why" behind doing them. I've found that without the why, habits often don't stick for me.
My favorite part of the book was definitely the list of gifts we can give our kids instead of the usual toys and games. If for no other reason, read the book for these genuine, uplifting suggestions.
Job well done Joshua. Eager to read anything else you publish.
