Review

"A nice coming of age tale.  Carver's got the energy of the track, the obsession that makes people attempt the impossible down cold. This is a good book."

--Chuq Von Rospach, Otherrealms

The greatest racers and the fastest vehicles...come together for the most exciting races ever run. Carver and his successors may make fusion race groupies out of us yet. --Dan Chow, Locus --This text refers to the Kindle Edition edition.

I had never read the first book in this series before, it was not the best sci-fi there is but a very good read if you like the Alien Speedway series as it tells how mike got where he was and sets up the story line. i enjoyed it.

This great book by Roger Zelazny focuses on a teenager fugitive from earth trying to earn a name for himself in Clypsis: an entire system devoted to histories most exciting sport, racing in the stars! Alright that sounds dumb, I admit, but it really is a killer book.

As always, the master shines. Most everything he has written has an independent feel from all of his books, yet they are all his style.

Would have given 3.5 but no way to do that. Now I just need to find the books on this series.
