Some people have the misconception that this CD is going to suck because there are only six songs on it. Well let me tell you this, THAT IS NOT THE CASE! I honestly didn't give this much CD hope when I first heard about it, but then I listened to all six songs, and now I am speechless. I think that this CD should win some kind of award. Every song is catchy and you can relate it to your own life experience in some way, shape, or form. I prefer to say I would listen to this while waltzing around Disney World, but it's your own call.

Please spend the $6 bucks on this, give the kid a chance, he really tries......and succeeds......very, very well. :D

While Justin Bieber may not be fading anytime soon - if anything his star continues to rise, the hungry recording industry is already rapidly searching for the next tween to fill their pockets with oodles and oodles of money. Young Australian import Cody Simpson certainly looks and sounds the part. His second EP (his first of true note) Coast To Coast EP delivers a solid set of six songs that do a sound job of previewing the teen's sound when his full-length debut effort drops in early 2012. Sure some of the effort is laden with the somewhat generic, detached sound that characterizes pop and R&B music these days, but the effort is certainly enjoyable. If it's a competition between Simpson and his contemporary Greyson Chance for swagger and excitability, Simpson wins easily on this pop-urban effort over Chance's piano-driven oft-folksy debut.

No smarter move is made than securing Timbaland's second-hand man Nate "Danjahandz" Hill to produce the albums first two cuts and arguably the best. "Good As It Gets" is a solid `banger' for the teen crowd, but also appeals to those twenty-somethings that love a good, `hard' beat. Simpson sounds older than his "iYiYi" days when he was rolling with Flo Rida, but that is a sharp contrast to the more androgynous vocals of Bieber, his direct comparison. Catchy, simple songwriting makes "Good As It Gets" a flagship ("It is what it is, as good as it gets, I know you wont' believe this kind of lovin', you really need this kind of lovin'...") The momentum is upheld by "Crazy But True," which lightens the mood from the more overt opener in favor of more breezy urban pop.

Yeah, an okay, decent effort for a 14-year old; or for any age, actually. The songs are mostly uptempto and fun to listen to. But I have to admit, Greyson Chance's album, "Hold On 'Til the Night," is infinitely better. Greyson and Cody were here in Atlanta on May 4 and they both put on amazing concerts, and Cody probably put on a better show than Greyson, Cody rocked across the stage and all the teenage girls in the venue screamed and cheered along with him and it was a terrific performance. Though, his lyrics were muddled, many times I couldn't understand what at all he was singing about, and this wasn't due to any problem with his electronic sound system. He just seemed to rely on the fact that he is a cute kid with a cool voice and knows how to dance with his long legs. But what were the songs about? This album is the same way. I've listened to the CD five or six times and I can't begin to tell you. Whereas with Greyson's album, there isn't this problem at all. He enunciates clearly and there is a point to every song, a definite meaning to every song. Plus, the songs are a complete variety: rock, ballad, happy, sad, showing us his extensive musical talent and that he can do anything. Greyson Chance is going to have an amazing future ahead of him. I can't say the same for Cody Simpson. Cody might be taller than Greyson, but he is going to end up standing in Greyson's shadow.

Cody's voice did indeed get deeper, as the previous review said. I'm in the middle of listening to his album right now, and a lot of it is very digitalized. I do think it should be more him, less computer, as I've heard him live and he's very good. Anyways, it is one of his best albums. The songs are truly sweet!

Cody Simpson's a pretty good musician. He has this tropical/acoustic guitar theme going on that works well for him... I just hope he sticks with it. He recently went under a new manager, Scooter Braun, Bieber's old manager. Next thing you know, he releases his electronically heavy new single, So Listen. I like pop music, but many producers make the mistake of covering up the voice with special effects. Hopefully he sticks to his style and doesn't let them take too much control.

Very cute C-D. My daughter loves it. Very clean music and you won't have to worry about your child listening to this C-D. Not expensive, but this C-D only has 6 songs. It was worth it to me though!
