This bed was extremely easy to put together. I was able to assemble it myself in under an hour. The head board fasteners on the right side were a little uneven creating a less than perpendicular appearance for the legs of the head board. I consider this the most flimsy part of the bed. The legs of the headboard require more stability. I have my bead backed against the wall so no real problem with the headboard. I do not believe it is strong enough to support much weight if it isn’t flush against the wall. Everything else was of good quality in accordance to the price you pay. As advertised the bed does require a spring box. In order to keep the low profile aesthetic of the bed, I placed a 4 inch box spring in as I have a 12 inch memory foam mattress. Examining the slats, I do not recommend trying to use this bed without a box spring.
I have found the bed to be quite sturdy and durable thus far. It easily supports the weight of 2 people and 2 dogs & everything that comes with that, so we are all good here. The bed has a clean appearance to it and I received it undamaged. For the price of the bed, I am quite pleased with the purchase & would recommend it for anybody who needs to watch their pennies or as an extra bed for a guest bedroom so that you do not spend as much money on a bed that will be infrequently used.

Buy bed slates and must have thick double pillow top
Easy to assemble but doesn't recommend buying bed slates. You can't buy and throw mattress on it wud sink and ruin mattress over time as four small pieces of wood is supposed to support a mattress. Good quality and looks great. Easy to assemble but large gap in head board and pillow top mattress. I would give two stars as far as low profile bed but I cover gap in headboard and bed w pillow and looks fine. Great price.
