Full disclosure: I am a first-time dash camera owner. That said, I am a tech professional and did a ton of research before deciding that this model was the best value for me. Just got the dash camera delivered this past week, and it did not disappoint.
Its got amazing video quality, and I found it very easy to setup. Lots of settings I have not played with yet, but it seemed to work well out of the box. The larger display size is nice - particularly because I have it monitoring my rear camera.
A few things to note: I found that the "Quick Start Guide" on Cobra's website has a lot more useful information than the printed version in my box. And the Voice Commands feature is really really cool; worked very well for me - I use "Take photo" and "Lock Video" a lot!
Finally, there are two free apps that work with this camera, Cobra iRadar and Drive Smarter. I have been using the second one a lot more - and found it to be nifty. Made it easy to connect my iPhone with the dashcam, and update the camera's firmware. I've been using it to share videos - so convenient to not have to remove the camera from my vehicle or pop out the SD card.
All in all - "Two thumbs up" for me!
