The writing is clear, concise and upbeat yet it takes the reader through some challenging places with insights and tools to be an empowered, "cockfident male and still be vulnerable, open and available to women. These authors are sharing the best of intelligent, sexy, woman's wisdom about how to enjoy a rich sensual life without judgment and intimacy without fear!
With this beginning, the authors create a new story for men that felt both ancient and modern. This is the power of the metaphor they create...combining our strong masculine desire with an acceptance and openness. The book gives specific exercises for each step along the pathway to help us feel confident in ourselves and with women by taking us from our heads to our bodies, where deeper learning occurs.
With stories, case studies and exercises, this book gave me the tools to shake up some of my old paralyzing stories and transform the negative emotions that I associated with sexual longings. We, as men have a right to be sexual and be loved. This book provided a personal road map.
A short review can only hint at Cockfidence's many insights. The book's point of view is perfect. Not only is it a book by women for men, but its perspective is quite yin/yang. The book's premise is that men and woman are different but sexually complementary. The perspective is liberating for men, for the authors explicitly exempt the man from responsibility for the
woman's happiness: "it is not your job to make your partner happy." Instead, men are entreated to be Present, Accepting, Confident, Generous, Passionate, Empathetic, Curious, Spontaneous, and Sensual (all concepts that are discussed in considerable detail), and ultimately to achieve "embodied empathy." Embodied empathy is "being so connected with yourself and your internal sensations that you can feel your partner's emotions, bodily sensations, desires and responses in your own body."
Cockfidence is filled with practical techniques (ranging from different types of touch, through G-spot stimulation, to BDSM, and anal play) for heightening female arousal. Everything is explained in the clear Anglo-Saxon language that people actually use for their body parts.
One of the most useful -- and innovative -- parts of Cockfidence explains how to deal with emotional women. Celeste and Danielle point out that men often try to do too much; "your job is not to apologize or try to fix what she is saying you have done.Read more ›
