Cockneys vs. Zombies is a hilarious take of what might happen if zombies decide to invade the East End of London. The reactions from the inhabitants of the East End are both matter of fact and gut wrenchingly funny. There were certain parts of the movie which had me laughing even after the movie was over. IMHO, this movie is a great way to get your mind off things for about 90 minutes.
One final point, this movie also has the stunningly beautiful Michelle Ryan (who was previously the Bionic Woman). Just watching her stroll around England and unload a couple of rounds into zombies was well worth the price of watching the movie!!
This film gets a lot of flack on various websites and it's hard to see why some people hate it so. They complain it's derivative, but what heist movie isn't? Some even complain that it copies Shaun of the Dead, though it only does by being a zombie comedy set in London as if no other zombie comedy should ever be set there again. Some people don't like the senior citizens having even a chance against the zombies because they are certain they'd all be eaten in the first ten minutes. But if you can get past these issues, you'll find a breezy comedy that moves along briskly, is well acted and constantly finds new jokes.
If you can at all fancy this sort of thing you'll have a good time.
The film is a comedy and not a horror production as expected. It is not knee-slapping funny, but did make me laugh at some unique scenes such as drop kicking a zombie baby, attempting to kill a zombie with a metal plate in his head, a zombie gang fight, and of course the chase scene of a foot dragging zombie pursuing a man with a walker. Zombie fans just have to love it.
Parental Guide: Plenty of F-bombs, no sex or nudity.

A must see! For anyone prepping themselves for the zombie apocalypse I highly suggest this movie. It's probably the most realistic zombie movie on the market.Published 10 days ago by Tony
My daughter and I are zombie movie fans, and this is one of our top three zombie movies. Third to Zombieland (funny) and Wyrmwood (more serious). Read morePublished 4 months ago by Amazon Customer
There are moments in Cockneys Vs. Zombies that are so inspired comically, it's all the more frustrating that the movie, for me, ultimately ends up a tepid suck. Read morePublished 5 months ago by H. Bala

It's funny, just don't take it as seriously as Walking Dead and you will find it amusing. I'm a fan of the Walking Dead and I would have never imagined how creative old people can... Read morePublished 5 months ago by Celine2u
