To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
After reading through many recommendations (mainly from Reddit) for the Koriko weighted boston shaker online, I decided to order this for my dad for Father's Day. This was his first boston shaker, and being a boston shaker there is some learning curve. Two times we have had difficulty breaking the seal and have produced a horrible metal-to-metal screeching sound. But I believe this to be 100% our error and not the products. So far after 3 cocktails that were vigorously shaken, we have had zero spills and zero indications of the seal even budging. Overall, great quality and shipped extremely fast!
I started shaking with cobbler shakers, then moved on to a pint glass and large tin, which I stuck with for years. Now I wish I had given metal-on-metal a try sooner. This is definitely the best shaking implement I've ever used. It seals and unseals with great reliability, it's washable, and it stacks compactly in the cupboard.
In all fairness, this is the only shaker I have used in a long time and I did a bunch of reading before selecting it.
I do not make a lot of cocktails - which means that what I use needs to be user-friendly. I live a full life which means it needs to be easy to clean and not messy to use. We also live in a small house, so it needs to be compact and actually useful (multi-use is even better) and I want things to last a long time so it should be durable.
This fits all the above criteria for me.
User Friendly: This system couldn't be more simple. It is two, nesting, stainless cups.
Mess/Clean-up: I don't have issues with leakage, although I take care to shake it over a tray when at the living room bar or over the sink in the kitchen. Honestly, I get more mess from squeezing lemons and limes than from this leaking. It's a breeze to clean because the design is beyond simple. Just rinse or wash as you would any glass, only you don't have to be as careful of breakage because it is stainless.
Storage and uses: The smaller cup fits into the larger for storage like the bases of nesting-dolls. I drop the muddler into it for storage. Easy-peasey. The cups are as multi-functional as you'd expect them to be: use as drinking glasses, vases, to hold fresh mint at the bar (if you won't be needing to shake cocktails), scoop ice, etc.
Longevity: They'll last. They're sturdy, stainless steel. The only issue I can foresee could be dinging the lip of the smaller cup, thus compromising its capacity for creating a tight seal when shaking drinks. It'll take some carelessness and hard work to make this happen. I'm not worried about it at all.
Can't really go wrong with these. I have a few sets in heavy use. I use them mostly at work (5 to 6 nights a week, 20 to 50 uses a night) and have never had any trouble. Great seal and easy to crack. No warping or other issues I've seen with other sets. Def worth buying

I believe, Greg from How2Drink on youtube recommended these before he was endorsed by "barfly mixology". What can i say, they are badass and work like they should. Quit debating, buy them.

I purchased these for my home. These don’t hold together as well as they did at the bar. I can normally shake 2 at a time with no problem. I had to hold the top to the bottom to make sure it didn’t spill. I couldn’t get them to stick together unfortunately.
Love the weight, and seems sturdy. My original set started to rust at the bottom, contacted Cocktail Kingdom and they sent me a replacement and have been using that one, rust-free, ever since!
