I bought this for my mom right before she started chemo for breast cancer. She liked that the book was written in a diary format and that it didn’t get too in depth in all the medical jargon. However, she lived that she could related to the author so much. My mom would sit next to me while reading this book and would start chuckling. The author does an amazing job seeing the humor in such a tough situation. I feel this book helped my mom feel like she wasn’t alone in her battle and provided information about what she will go through.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I used to work with Holly and had no idea that she had cancer. This book just reinforced how much respect and admiration I have for her. She is a brave and remarkable woman. This book also made me count my blessings. During the course of living our lives we get caught up in what we don't have and forget all that we have been blessed with. I recommend this book to any woman who is facing a difficult challenge. I loved the humor Holly used to make the best of a very difficult situation. This book made me laugh, cry, and start appreciating and living life to the fullest.

This was an amazing book that was written in a very personal style. I felt like I was experiencing the highs and lows alongside the author, as I read through the various emails she sent during her triumphant struggle with breast cancer and chemo. I loved that even before she knew what she was facing, she did her best to stay positive. That meant, of course, a little retail therapy: "Because if you gotta have cancer, you may as well also have a most fabulous red Kate Spade bag." I highly recommend the book for those waiting, wondering, surviving, battling, and supporting. You'll laugh and cry, but most importantly, you'll close the book feeling full of hope.

In half a year ,I reach five years of survivorship. Holly 's story, like so many of our pink sisters' is inspiring, bittersweet and yes, funny. I recommend this book for all who know a cancer survivor, care for one or who is a cancer survivor. This book is playing it forward. Thank you Holly.

I enjoyed reading about Hollys experience with cancer. Even though we had different types of cancer, many of our issues were the same. It was written very simply, was not heavy on the medical jargon but still was educational.

Thanks to Holly Bertone for letting us in her world. I really would have liked to had her share more of her husband's feelings. I would recommend this book to other breast cancer patients and survivors. I'm a two time survivor and could really relate to this book.

Bought this for a friend going through Chemo, she loved it. The author describes things which aren’t obvious to others. Written from a US culture perspective.
