The title and chapter intro artwork in this book are phenomenal as well. I normally wouldn't comment on the illustration, but the imaginative abstract artwork brings back a kind of warm, 8-bit video game nostalgia for me, that really adds a great element of remembrance that I'm having trouble describing. It's almost like it puts your mind into a state where you remember something pleasant from childhood, and then from that place you start reading these stories almost like you're looking into the past of these other people, which really colors your interpretation of the stories in a very unique kind of way.
I'm very eager to see more from this author in the future. Definitely consider picking up this book, and let me be the first to call it: This is the next book your friends will be talking about.
The author elevates a short story into something far greater with very descriptive writing and a huge variety of raw emotions in just a few pages.
Make no mistake, the author is very talented and I look forward to reading his first full length novel when it's released. For now I urge you to pick up a copy of these short stories.
