Advanced LED Technology
The feature that really makes this lamp shine is its advanced LED lighting systems. Cocoweb’s lamp has an integrated LED lighting array, which is the cutting edge of lighting technology. LEDs produce minimal heat ensuring that your piano won’t be cracked or warped from high temperatures. Cocoweb LEDs are tested to last over 50,000 hours, meaning you won’t have to change a light bulb ever again.
The integration of this lamp with an LED bulb allows it to last in the long run. One LED bulb can outlast 6 Fluorescent bulbs, 20 halogen bulbs, or 40 incandescent bulbs, saving a lot of space in our landfills. In addition, the LED array contains no mercury, and uses a fraction of the electricity of other lighting products.

The powder coating will ensure a lifetime of use, free from scratching and marring. Each Cocoweb light is rolled, polished, buffed, sprayed and inspected for maximum quality. 1) In order to clear pages, the clamp has to to be set high on the book stand, making it a little unstable.
2) The two swinging arms are difficult to make even, and between that and the clamp technique, it's difficult to have it perfectly horizontal, and that bugs me.
My kids immediately hated it. I hated to return it without giving it a chance, so I told them we would give it a one week trial. Two weeks have gone by and they haven't said anything, so I asked them today. My 14 year old daughter said "It's growing on me". My 16 year old son said "Keep it. It's fine."
I do like the light that is cast on the pages, making them easy to read. And the light looks really nice when just left on in the evening.
I will try to include some pictures, tried to overexpose them so you can see the contrast, which is difficult due to the book stand and the light both being black.
Bottom line: the lamp is 5 star when operated plugged into the wall. It's maybe 1 star on battery power. Customer service is definitely 5 star. They are responsive and really try hard to please the customer.
4th update, 1/4/2020: I paid $318 for the lamp. I see just now that the plug in version cost only $188 so the difference is $130, not the $30 I mentioned in my 3d update.
I emailed the seller a few minutes ago requesting a refund of that $130 since the battery/remote option doesn't work. If the seller doesn't refund the $130, I'll return the item for a full refund of the $318, then purchase the plug in unit for $188. That will cost the seller more than just refunding the money straightaway but we'll see what happens.
3d update, 1/2/2020: I received another battery pack from the seller even though I didn't request it. I don't know if it was in response to my 12/22/19 update, below, or because someone finally responded to my original email. Either way, I didn't bother to even open the just received battery pack and am glad to return it if the seller sends along a shipping label.
BTW, the very inexpensive remote controlled dimmer I wired into the power cord of the light works great and has the added advantage of being very small and lightweight, as opposed to the large, fairly heavy battery pack.
If the seller reads these reviews, I kindly ask for a refund of the difference between the cost of the light with and without battery pack. I think that was $30 and I again note that I'm happy to return the unopened battery pack I just received if the seller will furnish a shipping label. I'm also happy to return the original battery pack and the first replacement, as well.
2d update, 12/22/2019: I received the replacement battery pack, installed batteries and plugged it into the lamp. The result was the same as with the original battery pack - the light was only about 75% as bright as being plugged into AC power and the light also flickered.
I even bought brand new name brand batteries in case my batteries were the problem. The result was the same - not as bright and flickering. I then plugged the battery pack into AC power (the instructions say you can do that but it won't charge the batteries) and the light remained dim and flickered so it looks like the battery pack is the problem even when plugged into AC power.
I abandoned the battery pack but still want to have a remote control with dimmer. That's the principle reason I paid extra for the battery pack. The battery pack has a remote control to dim the light but when plugged into AC power without the battery pack there is no dimmer. I bought a dimmer to wire into the power cord so I'm hopeful I'll end up with the light working correctly and having a dimmer.
Also, the cover on the battery pack has no retaining mechanism and easily falls out if the pack is tipped. It's not only annoying but given the the cord length means the pack must be located on the piano, the top could drop onto the piano and damage it.
On battery power, the light rates 1 star, maybe 2. On AC power and overlooking that it has no dimmer in that mode, the lamp rates 5 stars: it's pretty, it's bright and it get the job done nicely. Either way, customer service rates 5 stars. Let's hope the great customer service holds up when I ask for a refund of the price difference between the AC only light and the AC/battery light.
UPDATED REVIEW, 12/15/2019: I emailed customer service a few days ago and described the problem. I received an automated response that they'll get back to me within 72 hours. I didn't yet hear from anyone, but it's not been 72 hours. Nonetheless, I don't know why it should take 3 days to respond so I called the customer service number.
A nice fellow answered promptly. I described the problem and after confirming that I'm not using rechargeable batteries he said that he'd send out a new battery pack. It was all very quick, easy and pleasant.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: The lamp is very pretty and easy to install, although it takes some effort to stow and route the cord. Stowing the battery pack is is also difficult and I haven't yet figured out where to do that.
The real problem is the battery pack. I installed fresh, name brand batteries but the light isn't nearly as bright on battery power as it is when plugged into AC power. Also, the light flickers when on battery power. It doesn't flicker on AC power.
I sent an email to the seller and requested that the battery pack (not the batteries, the power pack that holds the batteries) be replaced. Other reviewers had the same problem with flickering so I'm not sure getting a new power pack with solve the problem.
Some reviewers report that the weight of the lamp causes the music stand on their piano to pitch forward. I don't have that problem.
On AC power, this lamp is 5-star. It looks great and puts out quite a lot of light. But, I bought the battery version because I wanted the remote control and ability to dim the light. As it stands with the current battery pack, the lamp is not usable on battery power because of the flickering. If I reviewed this lamp solely considering the its operation on battery power, I'd give it 1 star.
If the seller fixes the problem by sending me a battery pack that functions correctly, I plan to update this review to 5-star.
Top reviews from other countries
The dimmer switch is unnecessary and dangles down the back of the music stand in a very unstylish and clunky way. It can't be taken out of the circuit, which is a pain.
I was nervous that the light would be unstable on my curved music stand, but in fact it has attached firmly, with no problems. I don't understand why there are two uprights to the swan neck – they are fiddly and move independently. Why?!
It's incredibly expensive for what it is. It's pretty clear from their marketing that they believe that 'if you can afford a grand piano you can afford this' (not their exact words), which is a bit cynical for my liking. Half this price would be more suitable – and I imagine their margins would still be pretty big!
