I ended up buying the Pro version, to get rid of the little ad at the top of the free version -- ads drive me nuts! *grin* This is an excellent little app, and I like that I can create my own lists without any interference from the software. I'm running this on a BlackBerry Q10 with OS 10.2.1; the recently released OS allows the installation of Android apps now -- YES! I had another wonderful little program that I used for a long time, but it totally and completely disappeared on my Q10 after the OS update (and that really ticked me off). Had to hunt for another app, tried at least a dozen different apps, and List Master Pro ended up being the app of choice! I tried out the free version first, to make sure it worked the way I wanted it to work, and then upgraded to the Pro version. If you like a list app that puts your checked off items at the bottom of your list, and lets you create your own lists without interference, then this is the app for you. I use it to track when I trim nails on my cats (4) and dogs (6), when I put Frontline on my dogs, when I do the dogs' heartworm meds, and my pet shopping list, as well as my own shopping list. I can highly recommend this app!
I've been using this app for several months now and I find that I'm using it now more than ever. I have 20 or so shopping lists on it which this app excels at keeping me organized. When my wife calls to tell me she is at a specific store and do I need anything from there, I can simply share via email my shopping list directly to her. Very handy!
I also really like the handy integration of android voice recognition. I'm able to very quickly dictate all items needed from the grocery store into a list while rummaging through the kitchen. Android voice recognition surprises me on how many words it actually can figure out (correctly transcribes "ponzu sauce", but can't figure out "arugula salad"?!?)
The check boxes in the lists are very handy and well suited for use in shopping lists. Easily sorted and cleared.
I have far too many things in my life to keep track of. This application is exceptionally helpful to me so I can quickly record something when I think about it, then move on with the peaceful knowledge that I can quickly access and share the information when I need it again.
I have little time to write app reviews; list mgr pro is worth my time to write a favorable review of it with the time it saves me each day.
Do YOU really need this. If you have pockets literally STUFFED with unorganized notes, drawers cluttered with scraps of paper.you intend to get back to, and an unimaginable number of backburners with projects just waiting to be realized, then yes you probably do. But otherwise...you don't. You will find yourself only complicating your daily tasks and trying to become 'better organized' by turning every little random thought into some magical list. A couple items you need to pick up from the grocer on the way home will become 20 minutes in the store parking lot making this cool list that should only say bread and bananas, but grows to a list vegitables you enjoy in the summer, canned soups you've tried vs soups you'd like to try, a list that prioritizes your lists....and its actually fun, like a rubrics cube, for a day or two. But it gets old, burdensome, and just plain slows you down. Just make those everyday choices on the fly and enjoy the gains of sporatic off the cuff decisions that give life some flavor. Just sayin.
I use this app extensively. Unfortunately, when I upgraded my phone, exporting the data from my old phone and importing it on the new, all my subnotes popped up to the top level, and the support address has been completely unresponsive. I upgraded specifically for this feature, so I'm VERY disappointed.
I have tried a number of list apps, shopping apps, etc. but have found that most of them are far too cumbersome for my needs. List Master Pro is beautifully simple but has just enough features to allow for some specific sorting. Also, the ability to add by voice is great and saves time. I use it for my shopping list, to do list and some other lists I have. It's very customizable from a sorting and filtering perspective. For example, when I check something off my list, it moves it to the bottom. The next week if I need the item again, I just uncheck it and it brings it to the top. Try the free version and if you like it the Pro version is worth it for no ads. This is a speedy app and by far one of my favorite apps.
Yes I know this has pretty much been abandoned by the developers, but I've used the free version for a while, liked it, and wanted to use some of the custom features available in paid version. And I had some amazon coins to use up, so here we are.
I set up a new personal to do list and started it with 3 dated and timed items for for the day. No problems yet, all items sorting out by date/time with first event at top of list, etc. Next I decided to add an item that needed to get done at some point, but not necessarily that same day. That item gets added to the bottom of the list, right? Because it's an undated item and I have date/time set as the primary list sort qualifier? Wrong! My undated item gets sorted to the top of the list, because this stupid app thinks that when you sort by date/time, all undated items have a higher priority than dated items. IDIOCY!
