In the three lb. order that I received there was barely a hint of coffee flavor, but not even a hint of either a chocolate nor a hazelnut flavor. The coffee beans do have a chemical type hint of cinnamon flavor, but are so lacking in coffee taste that I can only guess that they are very old and dried out coffee beans, with all of the coffee oils completely gone.
The aroma and roast of the type of coffee in the "coffee" beans is almost completely missing. It reminds me more of a very weak flavored tea instead of a medium or even very lightly roasted coffee.
It is impossible to guess what type of coffee bean were used because of the complete lack of body or flavor in the brewed coffee.
I didn't get the taste of "old" dried out coffee, but then again, I didn't quite get a coffee flavor taste either.
I was totally wrong. The aroma is amazing right out of the bag, especially the raspberry. So far I've ground it for drip and espresso. The drip brew was smooth and tasty, but the chocolate and raspberry don't come through very much in the flavor (I use cream and sugar) - that may be a good thing for some people. Using the espresso grind in an aeropress was AMAZING. The chocolate and raspberry came through in both scent and flavor, and with the natural sweetness of the coffee bean I didn't add any sugar at all, only cream. Will be trying it in a french press next.
I only opened the bag two days ago... and I'm snacking on the coffee beans! I don't DO that! I think chocolate covered beans are gross. But once or twice a day I find myself opening the bag and stealing off with three or four beans.
Is this my favorite coffee? No. Would I buy it again? Absolutely.

it is good but the oil from the beans clogs up my burr grinder thus creating too much work for me to ever use this product again. I like the Orange seville better anyhow.Published 2 months ago by Dr. J
I absolutely love this coffee! The hazelnut flavor is intense without being overwhelming or fake-tasting. These beans smell great and grind very well. Read morePublished 10 months ago by Krystle Owens
