About the Brand
Coffee-mate is a member of the Nestle family of brands.
In the 1860s Henri Nestle, a pharmacist, developed a food for babies who were unable to breastfeed. His first success was a premature infant who could not tolerate his mother's milk or any of the usual substitutes. People quickly recognized the value of the new product, after Nestlé's new formula saved the child's life, and soon, Farine Lactee Henri Nestle was being sold in much of Europe.
Today, Nestle--whose headquarters is in Vevey, Switzerland--is the world's largest food and beverage company. They produce a line of varied products, including coffee, bottled water, pet food, ice cream, and infant formulas. Some of their most popular brands include Toll House, Stouffer's, Lean Cuisine, Carnation, Coffee-mate, Butterfinger, Alpo, Power Bars, and Nescafe. Nestle employs approximately 17,300 people in the US and 247,000 people world-wide, and has factories or operations in almost every country in the world.

BTW, don't use more than 1tsp of coffee mate for milk substitute. The flavor can be a little overpowering with your cereals if you use too much. But overall, it's a good milk substitute for anyone who cannot tolerate dairy products like me.
I normally like my coffee black, but this stuff has transformed my coffeeing habits. I pour tons of it in the bottom of a mug (about as much as can possibly dissolve in the coffee), pour the coffee on top aggressively (to reduce the need for mixing), and enjoy. It probably can no longer be called coffee at that point. I think it tastes like one of those expensive fancy pants "italian beverages" that people richer than me buy every morning. But I don't really know because I am not affluent.
And if you buy 6-packs of CoffeeMate on the Internet, you probably aren't either.
Enjoy life. Drink chocolate-enhanced coffee-like beverage. Made possible by CoffeeMate.
Coffee-mate is easy enough to use--just add three or four teaspoons full of it into your cup of coffee, tea or whatever beverage you want to sweeten with this wonderful french vanilla taste. Amazon correctly notes that Coffee-mate is also both dairy and lactose free if that matters to you; and it is kosher as well.
A few caveats: Coffee-mate does have saturated fat. The nutrition label claims it contains no trans-fats but I notice that it contains partially hydrogenated oils. This may indicate that the trans-fats in Coffee-mate are present but very negligible.
I would use Coffee-mate by the expiration date on the bottom of the plastic container; and the container gives you simple instructions for turning this powdery substance into liquid just in case you want to do that.

Overall, french vanilla flavored Coffee-mate provides an excellent, sweet tasting substitute for milk, cream and anything else that contains lactose. You may want to use it to sweeten your coffee, tea or cocoa even if you have access to fresh refrigerated milk that you can use. It's THAT good.
I have had no issues with this dissolving -- add it to the mug first, give it a stir. In a travel mug with a tight-fitting lid, just shake.
One thing I can say about creamers -- I'm able to drink a variety of coffee available that I'd find unpalatable black.
The pack of six goes quickly - particulary as I stock one at work, and share with my diabetic mom. This is on my regular shopping list.

Great product, but a bit pricey; splurged because of injury that had me homebound for a bit. Aldi brand tastes just a good, but half the price.Published 5 hours ago by Verified Customer

I like this fairly well. It's rather expensive for what it is. Basically seems like Nestle's Quik with a different name. Read morePublished 6 days ago by TerryM
