Poor Balance, Leans Too Far Back
on January 16, 2011
As many other reviewers have noted, this chair is not designed properly to support an adult or older child. The arch of the rocking part is such that when you sit in it, you have the tendency to fall backwards. A good rocker requires you to somewhat push yourself back to get the rocking motion. In this chair, however, you must fight to keep yourself forward and in the upright position. The center of gravity is simply just poorly designed.
Additionally, the wooden frame can be felt as you sit on the chair. This isn't too bad for a few minutes, but over time, it starts to hurt your legs.
The only good thing that can be said about this chair is its ability to be folded up and stored. This is a nice feature. But given the other problems, I would not recommend this chair to anyone.
