Product Description

Flexeel Polyurethane Reinforced Hose is an excellent alternative to much bulkier rubber and plastic hoses. Extremely lightweight and tough, it's perfect for either outdoor contractor use or indoor industrial applications. Flexeel retains its flexibility even in cold environments. The integral construction of the hose eliminates the possibility of any separation between the inner tube, braiding and outer cover due to constant expansion and contraction during pulsing operations, such as with nail or staple guns. Assemblies include reusable brass MPT fittings with integral strain relief sleeves.

Ok, so my hose leaks and I still gave it a 4 star, heres why. On the end of the hose when you go to screw in whatever type of adapter you use the slot to put a wrench on is slim. Right next to this slim opening to put the wrench on the metal is a plastic part (shown in black on the picture) that has a hex part that looks like its made for a wrench. Now I didn't want to go find the right size wrench (laziness) and couldn't get the adjustable wrench I had to fit on the metal part so I just put it on the plastic (against my better judgement but I just wanted to get it done) and tightened my end on. Now it leaks because you shouldn't use the plastic to tighten the ends on. The only reason I don't give this awesome easy to use light weight hose 5 stars is because of the small area to put a wrench on with the big area on the plastic right next to it tempting people with bad judgement (me) to do what they know they shouldn't. Otherwise this is great for most small projects. If you are going to use a big pneumatic tool, an air chuck to blow a lot of air, or speed nail off sheer on a house or roof, then this is not big enough for you. Get a big hose for big project. If you are doing small projects you will love this hose that makes the rubber ones feel awkward and clumsy.

If you use pneumatic tools, and you are tired of lugging around a big heavy organic rubber hose,or your hose's are all dry-rotted near the fittings upgrade to these lightweight durable polyurethane hose's.they dont kink or spool all up like the some do either!they are easy to handle and roll up in the cold season too!I put the good snap-on steel quick disconect fittings on them as well! The great thing about these hose's is that they'll roll up very small and store away, and you dont have to worry about them dry-rotting or cracking.and they resist scuffing while being dragged around on rough floors,or hot roofs!GREAT PRODUCT!

This hose is a MUST for anyone who uses air tools on a regular basis. It is super-light and flexible, making it much easier to carry around attached to your nailer. Try using a standard rubber hose hooked to your nailer while nailing above your head all day. It is so easy to drag around and use while on a ladder or pick. Cold weather doesn't affect these hoses, they stay flexible. If you get a hole in the hose, just cut off the bad section and use a repair coupler or re-use the removeable end fitting, it is very easy to do and it's leakproof. If you're still using the old-fashioned rubber air hoses, try a Flex-Eel, you'll love it!

I debated between this hose and a Flexzilla hose. I was SICK of cheap poly hoses that were stiff as board and stayed coiled unless it was 90 degrees out. This hose works GREAT. I have used it in very cold weather and it is only slightly stiff with very little coil "memory" (I now do not coil it but loop it over a ceiling support and let it hang). I also got the 1/4" rather than the 3/8" to get more flexibility. I use it for air nailers so a 1/4" hose is more than adequate. I also got the shorter 25 foot hose although it was almost the same price as the 50 foot, just less hose to have to sling around. If I need a longer length I just use the old stiff 3/8" 50 foot and put the Flexeel on the end. I still have the lightness and flexibility where I need it: at the nailer.

The Flexzilla may be good also but some reviews I read said it swells up when pressurized which concerned me but I don't know why. May be a great item also, but I know this Flexeel is great.

This is a great air hose for small tools that do not require a lot of air volume. I like how it doesnt kink and always rolls up like it should I would buy this again.

I bought this airline 1 year ago, I wanted to wait to review until I had put it through the uses in my Custom Woodwork Shop, I live 75+ miles from any large city (more than 350 folks), I also live in the extreme N.E. corner of Wyoming we have winters that get -40 at times. I have NO insulation as my 40' x 70' shop is similar to a military Quonset hut (half rounded, no straight sides) I have had problems with air lines and electrical cords getting stiff enough to crack- I had been looking for air lines that are like the extension cords I use now - Blue in color and flexible to -30, this air line is a perfect solution and a very good price. I use it for a drop from my main line over my table saw, it has never caused any problems , it's always flexible . One day I'll get a larger wood stove or insulate (that would be costly) I don't run my equipment under 40 degrees or power up my compressor, that would be very hard on equipment, I don't use a large volume of air , so the small size works very well- Thanks to all who review the items we all buy and Thanks to Amazon for those reviews and fast shipping as well as the good price

Tube of hose disconnected from end portion, too bad I didn't notice until I plugged into my compressor. There was no way to reattach and I am outside the return window. 30 days to return is not long enough considering you may not get to use it right away. It's unfortunate the item was defective and I feel like Amazon should honor a return since I had to run out to a store to buy another one to work on my project.
