This is based on my experiences near release date. Isometric shooter/rpg hybrids have pretty much completely died out here in 2015. I miss the genre, with Cold Zero you start by trying to rescue some hostages from a dock. There are so many guns to aquire in the game so it has that old Diablo loot feel to it. Anyway I want to keep this short so I'll finish by saying it's an underrated gem.

The seller was DiscountGiantUSA. I played this game on a PC running Windows XP Home SP3. It installed fine. The graphics are best with 1600 x 1200 resolution.

There is a bug that you might notice if you ALT-TAB from the game to windows, and then try to get back to the game. If you do that, then you can't access the onscreen HUD (if you try, it will just minimize the game and you're back to Windows). To correct that without exiting the game, in the game options, change the resolution to something else, and then change it back again to your preferred setting. Then you can access the HUD again.

Why don't I like this game?

The controls are bad. It's a third person shooter, but the controls are a cross between FPS and RTS. You can't just move sideways or forward/reverse. You have to click to where you want to go, or use a combination of clicks to go backwards or sideways. The camera controls are different than the movement controls. Very awkward.

With 3 enemies on your tail, it is difficult to shoot and reload in time to kill them all.

And the AI is lacking. I rescued my hostage and was on my way out of the shipyard. There was a warehouse with 3 enemies inside. I decided to climb the ladder on the warehouse, walk across the roof, and jump down the other side. When I tried, my hostage didn't follow me. Instead, my hostage went into the warehouse. The enemies did nothing. I backtracked to the dock, and my hostage exited the enemies followed.

There are 4 ways to move forward: sneak, walk quietly, walk, or run. You select those options using the HUD. Anything but walk uses energy; and once your energy is used up, you have to wait until the progress bar reloads.
