To actually discuss the shoe itself, I would say that they do run slightly long in the toe. That said, I hesitate to order it any smaller than my normal size, as that might then be too narrow. I'm guessing that adding a pair or Dr. Scholl's custom orthotic inserts might make these a perfect fit, but I think they'll do fine just as they are. And yes, like all new dress shoes they will require some breaking in. But they are good-looking, versatile shoes. And while I normally prefer a leather sole, the non-slip soles on these should work out better for me at my job.
I'm happy with these so far, and will update if anything changes.
I went without the inserts, and after 3 or 4 wearings they broke in beautifully. I would now say they are among my most comfortable shoes, second only to my prized Ted Baker pair. And I don't know if it's the breaking in or my perception, but they no longer seem overly long either. Recommended.
These shoes hurt a lot until you break them in, so i recommend wearing them in short intervals during the first 2 weeks. After that, you get all the comfort and quality you would expect from Cole Haan.

Ordered a 13D and got a 13M. They fit, although I prefer a little looser fit. I think I got maybe a 13C, which fits and I could break them in but I am going to get them... Read morePublished 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
Squeak with every step. Don't buy them. I thought maybe they just needed to be broken in, not the case. Amazon and Cole Haan only gives you 30 days. Read morePublished 1 month ago by MC
Have had two pairs of these shoes in black. Both have been returned because, with both pairs, the toe developed bubbling under the leather after one day of wear. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Chuck Moore
