Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre: Contemporary Romance
This is the second instalment of Ms Lagomarsino’s For The Love Of A Good Woman and what an instalment it is. It is a contemporary romance but there’s much more to it, there’s drama and suspense galore that will have you on the edge of your seat all the way through of course there’s an equal amount of lust and passion thrown in that will get you hot under the collar.
Cole’s an ex marine suffering from PTSD he has his struggles but proves he’s got it in him when he comes to the rescue of Alex a woman who literally falls at his feet but just when things seem to be moving on and they clear one hurdle another one appears. Join Cole and Alex on their epic journey to love trust me it’s worth it, you won’t be disappointed.
Giulia Lagomarsino has gone and done it again, another five star read showcasing her impeccable writing skills I can’t wait to see what she’s got in-store for us next.
This is my second book by Giulia Lagomarsino and I enjoyed it just as much as the first book. It has a great story that was filled was intensity and suspense. I loved the emotional connection between the two main characters. Like the first book, the sex scenes in this book were well written and not repetitive. I also enjoyed catching up with the other characters from the first book and seeing their relationships from another point of view. This book is different from the first, but that is not a bad thing, both are romances but whereas the first was filled with lots of humour, this book contains a lot of drama that keeps you hooked. The author also did very well at showing the complexity of someone suffering from PTSD and how it affects those around them. This was a great romance and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I can't wait to read more from this author!
If you're expecting this book to be like the 1st in the series then..... SURPRISE! Its more of a psychological thriller/mystery romance. If you've ever read one of Terri Reid's Mary O'Reilly books then.... Yeah.... kinda like that without the paranormal. My 2nd book by this Author and it was a very enjoyable an interesting read. Looking forward to the 3rd in the series.
I love how real these stories are it's not just oh I love you and we won't have any troubles come along the way, life happens and there are struggles.
This book is so different from the first it's not just rinse and repeat with this series. I can't wait for the next book.
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
I would actually give this a 4.5 if I had the option. I absolutely loved this book. It had a beautiful love story with a couple that faced down unimaginable struggles and still managed to be exactly what each other needed. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review is because I felt like it could use a little more of an ending. I wanted to know what happen after it all. It felt like it was getting to the point of sharing where the couple was headed and then randomly dropped off and left me feeling slightly wanting. I definitely look forward to the rest of the series.
