I bought two of these chairs in the Spring time. Used them all throughout the spring and summer for camping. Haven't seen any wear issues or fabric problems. These chairs are very comfortable compared to your typical camp chair. They are lightweight. If they get left outside during rain, they can dry off with a quick swipe of a towel. Only "con" would be the cup holder, it is a little small and flimsy (i haven't had a problem yet). I am ordering two more for my kids for xmas

my husband and I attend lots of outdoor events and both of us have bad backs. I had seen these chairs in use by others and thought they looked better than the chairs we had. fantastic decision. these chairs provide more lumbar support. sitting for long periods of time at these outdoor concerts does not stress my back now. the vented fabric keeps you cool. only complaints are the thinner arms, but I am getting used to those. and I do take a pillow for my neck. there is something not quite right about the angle at your head. but my husband is totally satisfied. no back issues for either of us.

Coleman Patio Sling Chair: I bought this chair because I wanted an aluminum chair and I needed a new chair to take to the Soccer field. It is more of a proper supportive chair than a beach style folding chair. The first thing you notice is you are not sinking into a seat pocket... you are sitting on a firm seat. So much for the slumped posture I normally use when watching games. Overall the chair is comfortable and feels good to sit in.

As far as a travel chair it is tall and skinny when closed vs other chairs. You may find in a small vehicle that it does not fit as well. That being said it does not take up as much space because it is so narrow. The drink holder is nice, I have not broken it yet... but it will not hold larger bottles or cups.

I bought two of these 'Patio Sling Chairs' for seating my flat's semi-small balcony, with the idea that it would be nice to have seating that can fold up and be stored in the winter season. There really wasn't much detail on the product page when I bought these, so I kind of went into the purchase with the blind hope that I would like them. I just received them today, so I can't really comment on their durability, but as for comfort and style, I honestly could not be happier. I've attached a few photos in the hope that it will make everyone else's buying decision a little bit easier.

Things I like about them:
-- The colour is a black and grey vinyl mesh weave, which should allow for breathability.
-- Very small footprint when the chair is folded.
-- They are lightweight, which is great for carrying them (though I suppose that could be bad for being blown away by a gust of wind).
-- The angle of the recline is really nice. It is an extremely relaxing position, but not so far back that you look like you're trying to go to sleep or something.
-- The drink holder is nice. The diameter of the opening for it is approximately 2.5 inches or 7cm, so plan your beverage of choice accordingly.

Things I don't hate, but figure I would point out:
-- I thought that the back of the chair would go up a bit higher to support the neck, but it doesn't. (Granted, if you're a small child, it would support your neck.)
-- When folded, the back support legs are shorter than the front support legs. This means that on a completely flat surface its possible to get it to stand upright in the folded position by itself (though a challenge), but it was near impossible to get it to stay upright when folded on a grassy surface.

We have gone through a lot of chairs camping. So far this is the best one. Love the cup holder, holds just about anything. The seat doesn't sag so the fabric doesn't cut into your thighs and it is lightweight. It is reclined just a bit which is nice. Folds into a small diameter package although it is a bit longer than your typical bag chair. All in all a very good buy.

We have been using them for a couple of months now. They appear to be made well but only time will tell.

Found this on clearance at a sporting store and love it. These are made solid, fold up nicely, and have great lower back support. Much more comfortable than normal camping chairs. I bought a 2nd one I liked it so much.

I ordered 2 of these for the back deck of our boat. They are awesome!! They do not slide, they do not stay wet or get hot. The frame gets a little warm, but not enough to actually make you say ouch! They fold up to nothing very easily, and can be stowed in a minimum of space. They are sturdy built, and the cup holder folds up or away as needed. It's large enough to accommodate a drink in a cooler sleeve. My husband is 6'6" and absolutely adores this chair. It has a high back, and is very comfortable. Well built. I recommend it highly.

this is the best chair out there for comfort and durability if you want a compact chair, BUT it has some very sad flaws that i've noticed since having to replace one i left on a movie set.

1. the rivets are not as strong as they used to be. they have popped in a few places on me rendering the chair uneven and hard to sit in. this will happen just long enough after buying that you can't send it back. besides, the shipping would be too expensive. for a buck or two and some ingenuity you can buy a locking thread nut and screw and replace the rivet...and you will likely have to the way these are now apparently built.

2. sadly, the armrests are very hard and you will feel them if you rest your arms on them. another issue you may have to jerryrig something to fix. still, it is better than anything out there because of the relaxed angle of the chairback.

also, the corny cupholder is quite handy, but looks totally like a pair of handcuffs, and everyone who sees this chair asks me what's up with the handcuffs. be prepared.
