Keep enough ice-cold water to stay cool and hydrated on sweltering days with a Coleman 1 Gallon Beverage Cooler. The wide mouth top makes for easy filling, including adding ice by the handful. The flip spout makes grabbing a quick drink easy, and it won't snag open to better prevent spills. The bail handle makes carrying easy, and the screw-top lid stays secure, so no matter where you go you'll always have a refreshing drink ready for you.

amending down from 5 stars.
the lid is not water tight. No matter how much you tighten it, without an O ring or something similar, liquid will work it's way through the threading, and drip, when you pour, or drink from the bottle. I use this for ice water when I work outside.... several drops of water falling on my shirt while I'm mowing a lawn or weeding is harmless. But for a product designed and sold on the basis of holding liquids? One would expect it to be of better quality.
YES, my ice water stays cold (and depending how much ice is in it, icy) for hours, even over night. The insulation this offers is fantastic. But being unable to pour beverage without dripping on tables, or sip from it without it dripping down your shirt, goes from a little annoying, to infuriating, in very little time.
Pros: It is made of very strong plastic. It has fallen multiple times and rolled over in my car without leaking at all. Its shape is decent and the exterior material is conducive for a strong grip while pouring or drinking. It is not too awkward of a size to grip around (although, I have pretty large hands, so for people with smaller hands it may be more of an issue.) The lid screws on very easily, and as I said earlier, it does not leak even when shaken upside down.
Cons: Although the jug itself does not leak, the spigot will occasionally shoot a stream of water on my face from the ventilation hole while I'm trying to drink. I realize this is more "user error" than it is the design of the jug, but it can be frustrating when I am trying to drink and get hit with a tidal wave. The only other con I have about this jug is the handle. The handle is made from cheaper plastic than the rest of the jug, so it bends when attempting to manipulate the jug any direction other than straight up. If the handle had been made of the same material as the lid, I would have definitely given this review a (5) star rating.
He fills this jug up with ice and water and it sits outside all day. On the very hottest days (90 and up) after 8 hours the water is cool but no ice is left. If left in the shade or on a day less than 90 degrees, there will be ice left at the end of the day and the water will be very cold. He is very happy with this jug and as long as the lid is on tight it doesn't leak if it's accidentally knocked over.
