** I gave this 4 star as this product can be set up as advertised as a flat cot as well as a lounger.
** I searched high and low for such a product and found two under $100 others were much more expensive and could not fold up as small and convenient.
** Can be dangerous to set into cot mode (will explain later read on).
** Fabric used is very durable. The problem is that it is also very slick. When set up with the back up and feet down you will need to be wearing rubber, or high friction garments, to avoid slipping down. The unit becomes like a playground Slide :-). However if you only use the item with the feet part UP its very comfortable and the sliding problem goes away.
** Quite comfortable when you get the item into the flat, cot, position. However unlike a cot one end extends unsupported, cantilever, so be careful to get on in the middle or the foot support end. Middle is the best way to get on. You have to be careful but it does work.
** Now the dangerous part. Putting the back down into the cot position. The fabric combined with the elastic edge support causes the section you are putting into position to snap down fast and with force. You must keep you hands out of harms way. The safest way to do this, I found may be other methods, is to put one foot on the edge of the middle section, hold the bar that sets the back angles with one hand up and against the back, then push down the back all the way with your other hand and push down towards the edge you are holding down with your foot. This will allow you to hopefully set it up easy and safe and without the middle section folding up on you.
In Summary. I returned the item due to the dangerous set-up, In my opinion, as well as the problem with the fabric being too slick.Read more ›
It is well made and very sturdy. The mechanism for elevating the back section is not the easiest thing to deal with but once it is locked in position, it stays there. The fabric seems to be a fairly tough polyester canvas which is comfortable to lie upon. When lying down, it has a springy, mattress-like feel, due to the suspension system, which also seems quite durable. Although the product photo shows it in a lounge chair position, I have found it impossible to do this - the middle legs fold up as soon as I sit down. Maybe it would work for a petite lady or child.
Although it is fairly compact when folded, I think this is too heavy and bulky to carry to the beach or park. It is ideal for situations where it will be set up and then left alone for awhile - house guests, sleepovers, on the patio, in a hunting cabin, RV camping, etc. It's been left out in the rain a few times and shows no sign of rust or deterioration. The fabric dries quickly.
People over 5 feet 11 inches tall will probably find this too short for comfortable sleeping.
The cot is longer than I expected and a little heavy.. It has plenty of room for me and the canvass (or whatever the material is) is sturdy and comfortable. The bungee cording holding it to the frame appears to be strong and well threaded. The foot end can be folded down. The back has a one-piece bar that slides into the opening on each side of and sets sturdily into the "leg" at the head end. The settings on it are at comfortable angles. I have never had a cot before so I am not sure how to describe it. However, it stays in place and doesn't fall out of the position you put it in. You do have to get up and go to the back to adjust it, so it involves an extra step compared to the old vinyl strapped sun lounge chair.that simply folded forward and clicked into a gear on each side of the seat.
The material easily sheds sand by tipping the chair over. It is comfortable and sturdy enough that it would be a good cot for a child or an averaged width adult with the addition of a sleeping bag, foam cushion or camp mattress. It is very stable and doesn't feel like it would top over easily, but it's not wide enough for a sleeper who turns over a lot.
I really like it and besides solving my problem of finding a lounge chair to read in outside, it will come in handy for a bed for my grandchild. The reason for 4 stars is there were no directions on how to operate it, clean it, or maintain it; and it is heavy. Since I have never owned a cot before I have no way to compare it to other products but I believe it will last a long time.

A disappointment. It was impossible to unfold and set up as the fabric was too tight. Not well made. We sent it back. Read morePublished 1 day ago by judync

Always the well-meaning survey. With my job, if I don't hear anything and no complaints, I did a good job. Keep that in mind folks : )Published 1 month ago by Ross Melcher
Was looking for lounge chairs for tanning at home. Great product without the high priced lounge chairs found in typical stores, plus it lays flat so you can tan your back side. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Lisa Ackerman
