The Coleman Deluxe PerfectFlow Lantern is an easy-to-use match-light lantern that's ideal for camping, hunting, or relaxing outside. The lantern offers adjustable light, running for up to 8 hours on a single 16.4-ounce Coleman propane cylinder (sold separately). The PerfectFlow pressure-control system ensures that you'll have consistent light output, even in rough weather, at high altitudes, or when fuel is low. The porcelain two-tier ventilator resists corrosion and rust, so it stands up to outdoor use. The Deluxe PerfectFlow Lantern's two-mantle design uses Coleman #21 string-tie mantles (included), with a high-temp clear globe for shedding a powerful light. The Lantern's unique base provides excellent stability when in use, with foldable feet for easy storage. A convenient bail-style handle lets you easily hang the lantern for area lighting. The included carry case protects your lantern during transport and storage. Lantern measures approximately 12" x 8" x 7.5"; case approximately 12.5" x 8.6" x 8". Lantern weighs 3.7 pounds empty; case weighs 3.4 pounds empty.
A simple, easy-to-light propane lantern that delivers consistent illumination in any environment, the Coleman Deluxe PerfectFlow lantern is ideal for camping trips, hunting trips, or just relaxing outside. The lantern--which attaches to a Coleman 16.4-ounce propane cylinder (sold separately)--is equipped with a PerfectFlow propane pressure control knob, which ensures consistent light output regardless of the weather, attitude, or fuel level. The control knob also acts as a dimmer switch, so you can adjust the brightness of the high-temp, clear globe from low to high depending on your lighting needs. And you needn't worry about running out of fuel after only a few short hours, as each propane tank provides up to eight hours of steady light.
The Deluxe PerfectFlow lantern is sturdy and long-lasting, with a porcelain two-tier ventilator that resists corrosion and rust, along with a unique base that provides excellent stability when in use (the feet later fold up for easy storage). Other features include a two-mantle design that uses Coleman #21 string-tie mantles (included), a convenient bail-style handle that hangs from a branch or overhang, a heat shield to protect the control valve, and a soft carrying case that protects the lantern during transport and storage. The Deluxe PerfectFlow lantern measures 8 by 12 by 7.5 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 3.7 pounds empty, while the case measures 8.6 by 12.5 by 8 inches and weighs 3.4 pounds empty.
More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.
In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

As fas as the lantern is concerned it's fine, no big deal.... I like the soft carry case. Takes up way less room in storge like the big bulky hard plastic ones do. And also a lot softer than the plastic cases...
