Roomy enough for the whole family, the Coleman Sundome 6 tent sleeps up to six people at a time in complete comfort. The two-room Sundome 6 is outfitted with Coleman's exclusive WeatherTec system, a series of technical features intended to protect you from inclement weather and nasty storms.
The tent's LED ceiling light includes high, low, and nightlight settings.
The Sundome 6's interior is notably spacious, with a base that measures 12 feet by 10 feet and a center height of 72 inches--plenty of headroom for most people. In addition, the tent is engineered to keep you cool thanks to the adjustable Variflo ventilation and vented Cool-Air port. Best of all for travel-weary campers, the Sundome 6 sets up quickly, with two shock-corded steel poles, continuous pole sleeves, a pin-and-ring design, and InstaClip attachments. The tent even comes with a built-in LED ceiling light that runs for up to 22 hours on eight D batteries (not included). The light includes three settings: high, low, and nightlight.
Other features include self-rolling windows with no-see-um mesh screens; two doors (one hinged and one zipper); an electrical access port; an interior gear pocket; separate bags for the tent, poles, and stakes; and easy-to-follow instructions sewn into the durable carrying bag.
The tent sleeps up to 6 people in its 120-square-foot footprint.

More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.
In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

We applied no extra water/weather proofing to the tent and took it camping in upper peninsula Michigan. We experienced a torrential thunderstorm on the first night and aside from very very small amounts of dripping that ended up in little puddles that we were able to clean up with a couple pieces of paper towel the next morning, the tent held up phenomenally! We were extremely impressed. The storm was so crazy, we noticed campers pack up and leave during the storm.
We've also taken it to camping music fests and felt like we had a luxury tent. We absolutely love the lighting and the light options (mood lighting!), and the hinge door! Ventilation is excellent-- almost too good. The only qualm I might have is that there's not a great way to insulate if you're cold as it is a very openly aired out tent. But this makes it so that it is pretty cool during the daytime in the summer as well, which is a huge plus.
Also, what purpose do the four white adjustable strings at the corners of the rain fly serve? Didn't appear to help ventilation...
Instructions show a cooler or extra vent window near bottom on side of tent. Mine does not possess this. What gives?
Another thing, see attached pictures, screen appears nearly ready to be a hole upon opening new out of box.
Everything else seems great, and can't wait to take it out for memorial day weekend. Just want to air these in hopes Coleman customer service monitors here.
**** Update: I contacted Coleman about the issue and even though the tent was out of warranty they are sending me a replacement tent. I buy most of my camping stuff from Coleman and it is great to know that hey value and take care of their customers. I am happy to purchase from companies that go above and beyond to make it right for their customers.
