From the manufacturer
Simplifies packing by locking the edges of the bag together to keep your bag straight as you roll it up.
Uses a zipper guide to push fabric away from the zipper's teeth for snag-free opening and closing.
Adds plush material to the edge of the bag, giving you soft, relaxing comfort close to your face while you sleep.
Reduces heat loss through the zipper by using a full-length draft tube around the zipper to lock in warmth.

Lastly this bag far exceeds all other bags for real camping obviously not hiking. It met all my criteria and some. The lengthy review is only to answer other Amazonians concerns.I give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.Well done Coleman. This is truly the last sleeping bag I will be buying except the other 5 Coleman Big Games for my Family.I will not share or lone out!!!
Commercial Heavy Duty Jumbo Sized Nylon Laundry...
I've used this bag down to 20F degrees and it is indeed comfortable and keeps you warm. As much fabric used to make this thing it certainly should. Not sure about 5 below though (It doesn't get that cold here) but I'd probably trust it inside a tent at these temperatures out of the wind with at least 2 layers of clothing. I recently slept in it at about 55F in open air and it was a bit too warm for me. (Unzip a little and uncover). The interior is soft to the touch and very plush. I love the extra width as I can kick a knee out and still "sprawl" with the bag zipped.
One of the nice things I discovered (and was mentioned by another reviewer) is the "wrap" used to cover the bag. It's attached to the "head" end of the bag and really makes a nice face tent/cover when sleeping out in the open. Especially if there's a slight breeze. Also muffles the night-time critter noises a bit so you can sleep and keeps the early morning sun at bay.
My only regret is I didn't pay closer attention to how the thing was folded up when I first took it out of the box. It was very compact and folded in thirds I think - all wrapped tightly in the attached cover and tied with the strings. I can't replicate the "factory" fold/roll and don't even try anymore. I just roll from the bottom and wrap it. It ends up being pretty long but the cover seems to be made for this method because there's a centered carry handle in the middle. (Very handy actually).
The puny pillow that comes with it was a little bonus as I like small pillows. It just rolls up with the bag. There's always someone in the group who forgets a pillow anyway. Those "plow" zippers are really nice and prevent zipper-glitch so you don't have to baby them like you probably do on most other gear.
I can see a problem cleaning/washing this thing. It'll never fit in a machine and a dry cleaner will charge a fortune for it. Coleman needed to provide a liner for it (even if it cost extra). Not sure what to do when this thing starts to get "ripe". (At least people won't borrow it I suppose).
The bag is hefty and not for Summer unless that's all you have. I wouldn't want to venture far with it unless I had a pack mule. I'm not a Coleman fan since I think their "overseas" workmanship isn't what it used to be when things were made here in the States many years ago.
But I do have to give this item 5 stars because it does what it says and even comes with a few pleasant surprises. (For me anyway).
Update: 3rd year using this now. Recently spent time in Arapaho Nat'l Forest for a week. It only got down to the mid 30's but this roomy bag continues to impress me. Nothing like stripping down to your shorts and wrapping yourself in the soft cotton fabric at the end of the day. (Now, if only the hooting owls would give me a break).
4 year update: It's getting worn but I've used it a lot. The olive green is starting to fade a bit and the interior lining is getting those tiny cotton fuzzies from body friction (and washing I suppose). One of the seams ripped a couple of inches but nothing that couldn't be easily hand sewn. The "fluffiness" is still there and the insides don't move around or bunch up. Still haven't slept in anything under 35F though. Sometimes I just unzip the whole thing and use it as a comforter for maximum "sprawl". I sleep on a tent floor with a simple mattress pad. Nothing fancy.
