According to the all knowing internet, these are the following claims regarding sonic toothbrushes: they help to get naturally whiter teeth, they have superior plaque removal, healthier gums, and gentler brushing. They are also supposed to stimulate saliva and are good for anyone with braces or dental implants.
On the back of the box of this toothbrush it claims that the vibrating bristles have the cleaning power of 20,000 brush strokes a minute. I can’t verify if that is actually true, I can say that using this toothbrush leads to an overall cleaner feeling to my teeth compared to a regular toothbrush. It also feels like it creates a fine foam which I assume can help to get into the crevices of the teeth for a better clean.
I had a similar Oral-b toothbrush which also had a battery and it lasted quite a long time so I will hope that this has similar results. On the back of the head of this toothbrush there is a texturized rubber section that can clean the inside of your cheeks while you are brushing, or be used to brush your tongue. This toothbrush is comfortable to hold and the vibrations are not intrusive when it is turned on.
The toothbrush I got was a “soft” bristle although I don’t remember seeing it indicated in the ad. I probably missed it. Fortunately the dentist has recommended I use soft toothbrushes so I lucked out.
I’d recommend this to anyone looking to get a better clean than just a regular tooth brush. It might cost a little more, but it should pay for itself if it works as the described by the claims that are made. This toothbrush, along with period teeth cleanings, are probably a good route to take to get better oral health. I hope you have the same positive results I had.
