I very rarely do these reviews, but when I do the product is extremely bad or extremely good. This one is extremely good. I ordered the 4 oz to test it and this stuff is really good in nearly any dish. It's even good with the boxed macaroni & cheese in spicing it up. So I ordered this 16 oz and when it gets low I'll order more. If you've never used liquid smoke I would recommend trying the small bottle, if your tastebuds are like mine you'll be ordering this one soon after.

I add Colgin Liquid Smoke to anything I think it will enhance the flavor of, burgers, chili, meatloaf, salmon, bacon, etc.. I'm thinking of trying it in my pecan pie. It has a great taste, only takes a little to add that nice smokey grilled flavor to any dish. The 16 ounce bottle goes a long way. Colgin Liquid Smoke is now a kitchen must have in my pantry.
It arrived on time, if not early, and this is my second or third order of Colgin Liquid Smoke and I'll continue to purchase it.

Starting a plant based whole foods diet I still wanted that smokey grilled flavor to some foods and was told Colgin was the best brand for the money. I'm happy to say I think they were right! I have used this to flavor beans, soy curls, tofu, etc. and have been thrilled with the results. This really fills the bill when you have a taste for that "grilled" flavor. Really makes a difference when added to black bean or any veggie type burger!

I thought this would add a hickory flavor to my cooking. I'm not sure what is in this bottle but it smells nothing like any smoked foods I've tasted. It actually has a nasty odor coming out of the bottle. I don't know if I got a bad bottle of this stuff but I'm throwing it away.

I didn't take the other reviewer's suggestion of ordering this by itself, and it leaked all over my other items. Everything smelled really good, but it was a mess. I highly recommend ordering it by itself. Amazon responded well and made it right even though it was the manufacturer's bottle wrap that leaked. I suggested they bag it before they box it like w-m does with liquids.

Bought 2 bottles and upon receiving one bottle was not sealed and leaked into the rest of my package. Which contained a $45 odb2 to usb cable. So that’s ruined and since the bottle wasn’t sealed I had to dump out. And you can’t return this product so I’m out $8.
I won’t be ordering this product again and I warn you not to take the chance. I will say the cable and cardboard box it leaked onto smelled pretty decent.

I love smokey flavour sauces and BBQ'd food and bought tons of this stuff thinking I couldn't go wrong. What a mistake. This stuff is a scam. It is like water and there is NO smokey flavour at all - nothing. I used tons of it - I put lots in the marinade (far more than you should put) and marinated the meat for days. I also added even more straight onto the meat whilst cooking. The food didn't have ANY smokey flavour at all once cooked. Really atrocious product. I've noticed looking at the reviews that others have also said this stuff has been completely watered down compared to what it used to be like. I won't be buying this again - I would rate it as 0 out of 10.

used this stuff some years back but couldn't get replacement when it ran out so sourced other brand's product (Stubb's). They were equally as good but much more expensive for a smaller bottle (148ml compared to 472ml)!
Easy to use (doesn't take much) and gives a fabulous smokey flavour to all sorts of cooking (especially when you're cooking indoors as opposed to on the BBQ). I use it a lot in marinades — especially steaks. Love it!

I used to buy this in smaller bottles and I can say this bigger bottle doesn't seem as strongnit seems a little watered down so bit disappointed. I will have to look elsewhere when this runs out but the small bottles are not cost effective. Can't understand why this seems weaker but it does.

I love the smokey taste from BBQ s and smokers but being winter I was looking for an alternative so tried this...

It works surprisingly well! You have to get the measurements right as too much can be quite salty but it does add a lovely flavour. This does have quite a sweet BBQ taste rather than just smokey but that's a taste I enjoy so I can't complain. This bottle will also last a long time.
