Praise for Collaboration is King
"Marketing used to be about controlling the look and feel of a brand, broadcasting it. Brady gets that the new paradigm is about influencing the character of a brand--showing by doing--and that collaborations are the best way to express a brand's character."
--Jon Spear, Brand Director, La Colombe Coffee Roasters
"Consumers are more involved than ever in co-creating with the brands they welcome into their lives. Brady's thoughts on brand collaboration with customers, partners and the broader ecosystem are timely and useful to marketers of all types."
--Kirsten Newbold-Knipp, VP/CMO, Convey
"No marketer today stands a chance on their own, and everybody knows it. But true collaboration is hard. Thankfully, this new book, Collaboration is King, is a field guide for creative impact. Don't just read it--use it."
--Ross Martin, CEO, Blackbird
"Brady has beautifully laid out how collaboration is the new creativity for modern brands. Collaboration is King is jammed with insights and inspiring stories to help you amplify your brand in a noisy and saturated world. It's the book I hope my competition doesn't read!"
--Eric Ryan, method & OLLY co-founder
"No matter what you're working on, chances are you're doing it collaboratively. From GitHub to Slack to Dropbox to data.world, we're coming together in order to do more, in less time, while burning fewer resources. Brady has brought that thinking to life for marketers in a fast-paced, personal and studied look at the role of collaboration in marketing. Collaboration is King is an entertaining and thought provoking read."
--Robert Dowling, CEO of Hudson Cutler
"Most brands, as powerful as they are on their own, need the boost of another's DNA in order to create a truly disruptive idea or covetable product for their consumers. Ignite the power of what strong collaborations can do for your brand by following the experience of Brady Sadler in his new book Collaboration is King--this is the secret sauce for successful brands!"
--Laura Caszatt, Manager, merchandising / product
development at The Walt Disney Company
"There's a certain alchemy that occurs at the intersection of things, when seemingly disparate worlds collide and layer to create something that feels totally new. It's inspiring, engaging, and sometimes even brings us back to that feeling of awe we experienced so often as kids, when the world was still fresh to us. Collaboration is King reminds me that in connecting the seemingly unconnected, meaningful stories and experiences can emerge."
--Fatimah Kabba, Brand Designer, IDEO

Speaking of fashion (and sports and consumer products and hospitality and technology), Brady’s breadth and depth of marketing knowledge together with his decades of first-hand practical experience across a variety of industries are all revealed in this book.
His greatest and perhaps most admirable qualities, however, are his relatability and authenticity. Brady Sadler is as humble as he is passionate, and he’s as creative as he is strategic. This rare combination of art and science is what makes Brady special, and it’s also what inspires so many of us to THINK bigger and to take action.
For example, as I read the book, I literally stopped reading, and immediately finished a project of my own on which I’d hit a brick wall, reached out to three individuals with whom I should and could be collaborating, and I typed up a strategic game plan for collaborative marketing tactics to promote my book, Ballgames To Boardrooms as well as my forthcoming book, Lead With Hospitality! I then promptly finished reading this book, of course.
I share all of this to simply say, Collaboration is King is for anyone with an imagination, creativity, and a passion for possibility. (Deep down, that's all of us). Whether you're a Marketer, a Leader, a Salesperson, a Doctor, a Lawyer, a Teacher, an Administrator, or Business Owner, If you’re stuck, need ideas, or just some old fashion storytelling and inspiration to grow yourself, your business, or your career, I highly recommend the book and the mentality that Collaboration is KING.
It’s equal parts entertainment and education, with a side of INSPIRATION; the kind that lights a fire and motivates you to move! Brady artfully lays out how to think strategically as well as step by step encouragements on how to execute tactically. An amazing balance of principles, illustrations, and applications beautifully packaged with one goal in mind, to inspire all of us to explore, experience, and enjoy the magic of collaboration and partnerships in business.
It’s actually a work of art. (I’m very inspired at the moment. Can you tell?)
Thanks, Brady, for once again, generously and authentically sharing your art. We appreciate the gift.
Now, let’s collaborate. I’m ready.
The author brings content to life through stories from personal and professional experiences that do a great job illustrating not only the theory, but also how it's applied in practice. And for those of us who read (or listen to) business, marketing, and strategy books with a passion, you'll find ties and references to many of the genres' greatest hits. This is not "Everything is a Remix for Brands"–there is clearly original thought and work here–but it would be inaccurate not to acknowledge that underpinning of the approach and its successful contribution to the overall work.
This also is not some flimsy 26-page e-book put together over the weekend; this is a real textbook-grade volume that's absolutely worth your investments in cost and time. There's authenticity in the experience of the author and undeniable empathy for the client, brands, customers, and readers.
