Collaboration Soup offers a clear, simple "recipe" to create the optimal conditions for collaboration. It offers the reader a workable structure, identifies roles and responsibilities of various "stakeholders" involved in a collaborative endeavor, and outlines a step-by-step process to follow. At the same time, the authors recognize that true collaboration takes place in an environment where the people involved are open to what can emerge spontaneously when people are open, trusting, receptive, creative, and honest with each other. The book's "recipe" is designed to be flexible and allows room for innovation, both planned and spontaneous.
I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to tap the collective wisdom of a group of people.
I also like the idea of the follow up consultation that is available from the authors!
And the price at $14.95 works for me.
I'd recommend it for grassroots coalitions, nonprofit organizations, advocacy and community groups.
