***This is book three of the series. I strongly encourage readers to read books one and two before reading book three.***

I had been anxiously awaiting this book for months, and it did not disappoint! Another fabulous book by an extremely talented author! J.C. Hannigan has knocked my socks off! Collateral was a fabulous, heart wrenching, roller coaster ride.

Collateral drew me in immediately. The plot was riveting and full of little unexpected twists. I read way later into the night than I should have, worked a few hours, and then rushed home to finish. It was that good!

Harlow was still a broken, damaged college student, but it was nice to finally see her growing up and starting to heal.. Jax and Iain were both very complex characters with baggage of their own. The secondary characters of Jenna, Crimson, and Jamie were all wonderfully written characters that I came to love. I feel like they have become my friends, too.

I have to admit that Collateral did not have the ending I was hoping for, but somehow J.C. Hannigan left me happy and satisfied with the ending nonetheless. (How did she do that?!?)

This is the third book I've read by J.C. Hannigan, and I was impressed with each of the three books and the quality of the writing. I find myself still thinking about the books weeks later. I'm hoping that Iain, Jenna, and Crimson might get their own stories some day. I will be one-clicking all of her future books!

I reviewed this book on behalf of A Book Lover's Emporium book blog.

Collateral is the third and final book in the Collide series by JC Hannigan. I'm not sure what to say about this book, I've never been so conflicted by JC Hannigan's work before.
The book starts a few short weeks after Consumed (book 2) ends. Harlow is struggling to deal with the things that took place at the end of book 2, she's plagued but nightmares and trying to find a way to distract herself. Not only does Harlow have to find a way to get past what happen to her in book 2 but her past seems to be following her everywhere. Iain shows up and seems to be everywhere, secrets she's kept from her best friend get revealed and her history and past with Iain jeopardize her future. There is a lot of growth for Harlow in this book. She learns to deal with things in a healthier way.
I really can't wait for JC to write Iain's story because I'm dying to get inside his head. I want Iain to get his happily ever after. I'm unhappy with the way Iain was portrayed in this book. I'm happy for Harlow and Jax and glad that Harlow is working to be better.

JC Hannigan has done it again with a beautifully written novel. She knows what her readers want and brings it to life in her books. This book ended just how the series was meant to end with plenty of questions answered and the characters living just how we wanted them to.

Harlow Jones the main character of the series has been through hell and back literally speaking. Between losing her friend in a car accident and being physically attacked twice in high school and college. She lived her life to the fullest and moved past all the drama realizing it wasn't worth living in the past.

In order to find out more of Harlows story and how it turned out everyone needs to buy the book. It is a most read and you won't stop reading it until you are finished. I highly recommend all of JC Hannigans books to read and wish for them to come out sooner.

This is the third book in this series and they must be read in order. I love this book and this series. Harlow is an amazing character. So has been through so much and is finally finding happiness with Jax. But Iain is coming around more and more. She seems to see him everywhere. The guilt she feels from her part of him going to jail lingers. She knows she loves Jax more than she ever loved Iain however she just can’t seem to let her past fully go. She is faced with everything all at once. Harlow finds it hard to every really let go and get it all out so if festers. Finally she talks her therapist and finds clarity. Jax would do anything for Harlow and just seems to know what she needs. Even though it hurts him when she talks about Iain he knows that Iain is part of her past and the he is her future. This book was hard to read at times. I am definitely team Jax however there are times when I felt bad for Iain. They had something but with the teacher/student aspect of their relationship Harlow and Iain never really had a true chance. However their relationship did give Harlow that chance to open up and learn to let people in. He kind of paved the road for Jax. So much happens in this book and I hope there is going to be another one in this series. It didn’t really end which leads me to believe there will be one and I look forward to reading it when/if it comes. J.C. Hannigan has found on a place on my authors to look out for after reading this series. I have her other books on my TBR list. I can’t say enough about this book or the others in the series. I don’t want to give away to many spoilers but it is a great must read for sure.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.
