The technology is perfect . . .until it's not
The fires still burn in Libya years after the fall of Gaddafi, forcing NATO to intervene in a new war that could have devastating consequences for the volatile region. But something has gone terribly wrong with a "foolproof" new superweapon, resulting in the shocking deaths of innocents.
The latest military miracle to come out of the Whiplash group was designed to eliminate any possibility of human error—yet civilians die when a computer-controlled UAV drone inexplicably goes rogue while the whole world watches. Now the entire Whiplash program is under fire, as the weapon's creator heads into the blistering heat of the conflict to discover if sabotage caused his infallible machine to fail. But there's an enemy waiting for him, determined to unleash more chaos and terror and death—which sends pilot Turk Mako to the skies once more to prove that, in the heat of battle, a skilled ace can do what no computer can.

The book is longer than some of the other ones you have written. I still am a big fan of short chapters or paragraph breaks for those people who have a few minutes to read but don't want to get lost when they pick up the book again. I used to travel a lot and had multiple short periods of time available to read.
Great action, great story, lots of technology. The technology is not eclipsed by the human side hearing why Rubio is the way he is and that people still need human interaction and warmth with Ginella and Turk.
I do read for detail and found only two minor discrepancies, too small to even mention.
Keep up the good work.
The beginning engagement was interesting. Then skip to about the 75% mark to get it over with.
I recall reading other Whiplash stories years ago that were very good. This one was disappointing.
This one, like Patriot Games, is way too redundant and he goes on and on with descriptions and thought process about useless crap that I am thinking he reached the end of his career. His other books had for the most part much less redundancy and useless descriptions but now they seem like a waste on my money and time.
Dale either quit or listen to your readers.
Other than that I found the flight/combat sequences good and the story line was fair.
