I don't just like the author's books, I LOVE THEM. "Collateral Damage" is no exception.
This book is not just a love story. It's a story about forgiveness, redemption and learning how to trust not only yourself, but other people. - Kimmy Loves To Read Blog

Elisabeth's writing continues to grow as she perfects her craft, dragging me deeper and deeper into the world she creates with her words. Her voice is fresh, honest, emotive, and fun, always making my heart simultaneously break and burst. I adored the storyline, which gave us so much more than the usual young Hollywood vibe. This story had a weight and significance that shined throughout the story. - Becca from Prisoners Of Print

Elisabeth Grace has once again outdone herself with Collateral Damage. This is unquestionably my favorite book in the Limelight series so far! I knew in Picture Perfect that Calder had a story that I wanted to hear and I was anxious to see where Elisabeth would take his journey. The sun-kissed California boy is so much more than just a hunky actor and exploring the complexity of his character was an emotional journey. Elisabeth Grace did not let me down. She made me laugh, caused my heart to break, and even had me shedding some tears of both pain and elation. Calder is definitely my favorite of her characters to date and I’m already missing him.

The best part of this story for me was the authenticity of Calder and Frankie’s relationship. They constantly learned from one another, offering each other support and an alternative view with which to consider their struggles. The character growth in this story was exquisite and the best part of this book. Elisabeth Grace colored Calder and Frankie’s story with lighthearted moments of fun, instances of overwhelming emotion, and heated exchanges of sexual tension. Their connection felt deep and genuine, built on years of baggage and held together by the shared challenges of life in the limelight.

Elisabeth Grace also introduces a few new characters with the potential to be next in line for their own book in the series and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m already totally intrigued by them. Elisabeth’s writing continues to grow as she perfects her craft, dragging me deeper and deeper into the world she creates with her words. Her voice is fresh, honest, emotive, and fun, always making my heart simultaneously break and burst. I adored the storyline, which gave us so much more than the usual young Hollywood vibe. This story had a weight and significance that shined throughout the story and that ending… wow! Perfection.

I am wowed once again by this series. I felt so deeply as I was reading parts of this book that I cried. Calder, Hollywood bad boy, has fallen from Hollywood's grace after years of drug and alcohol abuse. Frankie, an up and coming actress, is trying to begin a true Hollywood career. They are paired up for a movie. It is not even like at first sight for them. Although, I do think there is some interest that would ignite a spark. Their managers believe that it would be a good idea for them to be a "couple" in the eyes of the public. Only thing, it became real to them. This book gives us some insight of how hard it is to be in the limelight and try to stay sober and true to yourself. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. Loved the epilogue. (That's where I cried the most.)

Firstly, as we previously met Calder briefly in Picture Perfect (Book Two) I was intrigued to hear his story on his so called celebrity life.

Life isnt always peachy for the son of a popular celebrity. With expectations a constant reminder to be like your father, Calder hits a cross road in life with a downward spiral into drugs and alcohol. You felt such emotion from his inner fights and thoughts to prevent himself from relapse you honestly wanted to give him a big hug and tell him, its going to be aright you can do this! At first I thought he was cocky, but his character certainly grew on me which surprised me in a good way.

Then there is Francesca "Frankie" Leon.

Gorgeous Indie Actress given the chance to make it to the big screen. However fate brings Calder and Frankie together in the leading roles but Frankie believes that Calder has issues that will ruin her career for success.
Their relationship on and off the screen grows a strong bond but also trust is a HUGE feature for both due to shady pasts. The emotion I that was showcased was felt whilst reading their story. It was certainly amazing! I had tears, laughs but also sorrow for these characters which to me, means alot when you are caught up in a story.

Additional Characters that were featured: I just feel in love with them all I was a book for each one!

Another special feature I thoroughly enjoyed was the Hawaiian Culture that Elisabeth featured through the story. This brought a significant moment between Frankie and Calder that made my heart melt and cried like a baby!

Overall, I honestly believe that any reader that loves a true heartfelt romance with celebrity theme, would thoroughly enjoy this book along with the other books from the series. I look forward to many more book from Elisabeth from this series.

“Things that happened don’t make who you are.” “How you choose to live your life every day when you get up in the morning, that’s what makes you the person you are.”

What an emotion-filled, heartfelt story of overcoming addiction, handling grief, feeling worthy, forgiveness, and love. The story gripped me from the start with the strong, touching prologue.

Calder has a long, hard road ahead of him. He feels ashamed with himself and is battling some very powerful inner demons. He is trying so hard to turn his life around. Frankie is such a loving character and her strength and faith in Calder is beautiful. She is determined to make him see his self-worth and help him heal and forgive. She has some struggles of her own, and through each other, they find the strength and love they need.

Elisabeth Grace did an outstanding job of making us feel and understand the power of addiction and the tight hold it holds over a person. It’s not an easy battle and she shows just how hard the struggles are and what a person battling this goes through every day. This story is raw and emotional and will touch you. Another great story by Elisabeth.

“Forgiveness is a gift you have to give yourself and that validation comes from within.” “You’ve got to forgive yourself in order to move forward.”
