About the Author
Alan AtKisson is a writer, songwriter, and consultant living in Stockholm, Sweden. Born in Missouri, USA, he grew up in Orlando, Florida, and was educated at Tulane University (New Orleans, USA) and St. Catherine’s College, Oxford University (UK). In 1981 he was selected a Henry Luce Scholar and spent a one-year period working with heroin addicts in Malaysia. From 1982 to 1988 he lived in New York City, where he led rock bands and performed as an acoustic singer-songwriter, in addition to pursuing literary and business interests. In 1988 he moved to Seattle and began a career in sustainable development, which led to the establishment of an international consulting firm in 1992 (see www.AtKisson.com). He is the author of several books, including Believing Cassandra (1999) and The Sustainability Transformation (2010), and has produced several albums of original songs. This is his first published collection of poetry in book form.
