Majid Hatamian is a data protection and privacy professional who has contributed to a diverse range of privacy-related projects and studies in Europe through his expertise in legal and technical aspects of data protection. He holds a PhD degree in Computer Science (first-class honours, Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany) with a special focus on data protection and transparency issues associated with technological artefacts.

Majid has authored more than 25 articles with a special focus on privacy and data protection domains published in well-known scientific conferences and journals. Majid is currently a Privacy Engineer at Google, Ireland. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E).

This is by far one of the best practice exams books I have come across. The content canvassed is broad, and the questions asked are incredibly useful to gauge how the real exam will be. Answers provided are insightful.

I would highly recommend this book over other available options, including the Jasper Jacobs books, but ultimately using them together would render best results for learners.

I do note that the only reason I have given 4/5 stars is that there are VERY MINOR errors I picked up from a language/grammer point of view, but substantively, the content is spot on.

Instrumental to my passing CIPP/E

This book was instrumental to helping me pass the CIPP/E. The questions reflected generally what I saw during the exam. When you compare the exam to the book, the difficulty is quite similar. Even the random questions that showed up were quite similar too.

The book is a little bit pricey but it is well worth it.

Highly recommend this book for anyone who prepares for the CIPP/E exam. I wouldn't pass the exam on my first attempt without this book. 2 sets of up-to-date practice tests are informative and helpful to accommodate me for the types of questions and the trickiness and difficulty of the actual exam. The content is aligned well with the body of knowledge of the exam. Going through 180 overarching questions helped me to discover the neglected areas/ blind spots in my revision process, then the answers and the explanation helped to consolidate my understanding of a problem/concept.

I just wish there would be at least 1 more practice test given the price of the book sold in Germany. Besides, 2 practice tests seemed a bit disruptive to my study flow since I was just only used to the practicing flow after finishing the second one. Apart from that, the book is an excellent resource for test-takers.
