Information on Japanese small arms is somewhat sketchy because a lot of recorded data was lost to Allied bombings and the resulting fires. This excellent book presents a clearer understanding of the Japanese thought process behind the manufacture of some of the most oddly designed and, in some instances, the most dangerous handguns ever made. Excellent photography and clearly written. A 'must have' for collectors of Japanese revolvers and pistols.

Collector Historian must have book on the various types to Revolvers and Automatic Pistols manufactured in Japan pre-1945.

The book is reasonable in cost and full of a wealth of knowledge for the collector. Any individual who has or collects Nambu Pistols would be remiss if they didn't have this books FIRST.

The author, James Brown, has a long history and a wealth or experience in the many variations of Pre-1945 Japanese sidearms and their accessories.

This book I believe is a follow-on to his collaborative work with Harry Derby.
A tremendous resource in itself.
