It was a a great read. I really enjoy the love story. You meet Alexis "Alex" and her TA Ryan. Ryan basically saves Alex from a run in with a creeper guy and that is when the connection starts. The point of view goes back and forth between Ryan and Alex through out the whole book. It was nice to see the guys point of view on many events that occurred.
There was a warning on the description of this book and it made me super excited. I love a good warning, that usually means that its going to be dirty! Well, it was a hot one but I really think the warning was unnecessary. I think this one would have been a 5 star read for me if the ending didn't seem so rushed.
If you are a lover of student/teacher novels you will enjoy this one. It didn't stand out too much but it was a good read. I actually think Sheila should continue with this story. I don't usually say that a lot as this is a stand a lone but I think she should write another book about Ryan and Alex. Let us know what they are up to no. 4 Hot TA stars.
But then, I slowly started to become disappointed and actually found myself skimming the pages. The problem wasn't that the story just got boring or the author just lost steam and poured all her creativness in the first half and didn't care about the end. Not the problem at all, the problem was that the story never progressed. It was the same scenario, just different timming and places. It basically went to Alex professing her love, then running because he couldn't feel the same. Saving herself of an even bigger heartbreak later in life. Ryan running because he was damaged. Then he realizes he loves her, she gives up her virginity, guess what, he runs again. Then he decides he can't live without her, so what does Alex do, spread her legs. I'm not saying she should hold a grudge and rip his balls off, but geeshe. And honestly, their past and problems that make them so damages that they don't deserve love is problems we all face. Feeling as if our lives are in someone else's control, making decisions for our parents sake to make them happy although it's the last thing we want. Feeling as if we are an outcast in our own family, feeling inadequate and always being compared to the golden child and never living up to them.welcome to the teenage years. Problem is Ryan is twenty eight, but I understand his circumstance is a little different than most, I'll let that pass.
So why the three stars? I can't forget the love I had for the beginning, it is a happy ending and I'm a sucker for happy endings. And Julie, she saved the day, I liked her character.
In the end I was disappointed because this book had so much potential, I'm sad that it couldn't have been as great as I had hoped for.
At first I liked their whole back and forth, I want to be with you no wait I don't relationship, but towards the end of the book it started to drag on and got a little boring, and I started to feel like they were apart more then they were together. I have to say, I don't know if there is a second book, but they're really needs to be, it didn't end in a cliffhanger, (thank God) but it did end with so many things left unanswered and open. If I find out that there isn't going to be a book two, I'm gonna change my rating down, because the ending just left so much open. I still recommend this book, it moved at a good pace and it had a lot of good characters.
