This is a Wonderful coloring book! If my budget allowed, I would purchase
dozens and give them out to little girls.
I am an adult woman of color and relish the very idea that I can color images that look like me and have hair textures that I am familiar with. In all honesty I would recommend this coloring book for all little girls, it is a perfect example of the diversity that exists within our world.

As a black woman and a mother two 8 year old little black women, I REALLY like this coloring book. One of my daughter's came home from school super excited about "The Look" coloring book but it had no women of color of any variation of color - no diversity beyond white. That encouraged me to search for a book that is more diverse, which led me to this!
I'm very happy with the coloring book... but that's largely because there isn't much else out there like it. I do wish the pictures were more intricate, again I have 8 year olds, but the simplicity of the images in this one might be suitable for younger children. Still, that doesn't detract from it's value in not only it's existence but the quality of the images. The women are also not all the same shape, which is great.

Got it yesterday, stopped doing what I needed to be doing and started coloring right away! Love it!

I'm so happy to have found this book. Figure skater, fairy, superhero, bride, mermaid, fashionista and more! I love the diversity of characters women with curly hair are shown as in this book. I usually color mandalas in adult coloring books, but wanted to color women in fashionable clothing. What I found when I searched were all women without any fro hair or hairstyles common to black women (braids, twist, locs, updos.) When I found coloring books featuring black people it typically was a book about famous or historical people. I really love the mix of everyday women and fantasy characters. I hope more books with everyday women wearing fashionable clothing happens, too.Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2018

So I bought this for my little sister and she received it today. I asked her if she likes it and she said "yes! They have curly hair just like me, and brown skin, too!" Hearing that meant the world to me! I am white passing and I have wavy hair that I used to flat iron a lot, and she would always say she wished she had hair like mine, and that she wished she looked like me and had skin like me.... that broke my heart. I've been talking to her more about loving herself and she's gotten better, but as she lives a few hours a way and my mom is terribly problematic, she doesn't get constant positive exposure. Sending her this book and some crayons and hearing her excitement in seeing herself on the pages brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. For less than 10$ and it's made by a black woman. LOVE IT :')
