I purchased these to use with our Grapat acorns and bowls. These aren’t meant for that, these are too tight, great for toast though! I included pictures comparing it with the Grapat wooden tongs. When you put a wooden acorn in between these tongs, it stays there, no pressure needed from you or the kids hands.

I love having a pair of these next to the toaster. they are useful for pulling out toast and bagels without either burning fingers or reaching down into the toaster, risking touching the elements. They are perfect, being bamboo, as metal tongs would be dangerous to use in such a fashion, whereas rubber or plastic tongs might melt.

This is the second time I've bought these. The first time was for taking toast and bagels and such from the toaster, works great. So well I gave the extras to our adult children who first looked at me with "What's this for?". After telling them they agreed on the great use.

I recently discovered another use, we have cameras that use SD memory cards (the ones about the size of a postage stamp) and they are situated so humans have difficulty getting their fingers in to pull them out, at least this human. These tongs worked perfectly to grasp them and pull them out, right size and didn't slip.
