It tells the story of Emma, who has recently divorced after losing her son a few years back. Her son dies while she was home. Understandably this caused a giant rift in her marriage. But then she meets and falls in love with Luke and her healing begins. Through Luke, Emma finally understands that she could not have avoided the tragedy.
Emma and Luke begin to plan their wedding. Seemingly inconsequential, Emma sees a news report about a little girl who has almost drowned and is claiming to have been in heaven with loved ones. She decides to study the subject. Luke doesn’t really believe in such things but doesn’t let it bother him when Emma and her ex go see a medium. He figures they need closure. Her ex then decides to sell the family home and asks Emma to go help pack her son’s room. As they spend more time together, they soon realize that time has healed old wounds. Emma does break Luke’s heart. But as Luke looks at a webpage Emma left open on the story of the little girl who went to Heaven, he realizes he knows the mother. Looking at picture of the little girl, he soon realizes he must make contact. And when he does, he finds that he’s lost nothing and gained everything!
These stories always make you ponder upon life and the choices we make. While life sometimes throws us off, it would appear that life is really just setting you straight.
Emotionally touched with admiration for Luke whose sad experience in his search for that elusive true love in his life... i could not stop crying not because of his pain and heartaches... but how you described everything in detail with the dramatic outcome unexpectedly rewarding and inspiring for each of the characters involved ... that unknowingly Bev was divinely meant for him, as well as Emma and Carter were destined for each other!!! The outlining of the story was flawless and brilliantly presented, with the Epilogue as the best part that held me up to that heavenly place when reading an excellent version of a genuinely inspired book written from the heart!!!
Bravo, Julianne, thanks for your inspiration through your magical insights about heavenly interventions, someone's life becomes spiritually stronger, happier and more lovable!!!
