I bought this to tone down the warmth in my level 7-8ish hair that was previously bleached and then colored with wella color touch demi. The color I selected wasn't that suitable with my skintone so I was searching for an ash shade to help tone it down. I decided to get this since it was also a demi permanent color and wanted something that would be gentle on my hair. This worked perfectly! I mixed it with wella color charm activating lotion which I believe is a 6 or 7 volume developer. I will leave it on longer than the 20 mins next time, but I love it. Turned my hair to more of a neutral leaning ash color which is what I was going for. I was afraid it was going to make my hair too dark but it did not make it darker at all.

I have been trying glosses and such for ages so I can easily throw a bunch of color in my hair at home, and I’ve used wella before but not this demi permanent product.
First of all, I’m an idiot and thought that brown haired girl in the photo was supposed to be the color I ordered (the level 3 brown)...later realized that photo was for all the colors...so for my own purposes, I would say the 3 was too dark if the photo is the brown you’re aiming for! I think the level 4 will be ideal for it.
That being said...this ended up being fantastic. I have long hair and it’s cheap, so I used the whole tube (and I was being a bit lazy and wanted to avoid missing spots without spending ages applying it). I left it about 15 min and, though my hair is practically black (pretty but a bit flat for my taste), the color is nice and I was VERY shocked as the glossing aspect. Again, I’ve mostly been trying products that ARE glosses..but this color gave me the kind of shine and smoother texture that you normally get when you go to a salon, get your hair color, and then get the stylist to apply a subsequent gloss on top. 10/10, color thing was my own fault lol BUT I would even potentially mix the level 3 with the level 4....I’m aiming for a rich, very cool brown, and that may do the trick.
Also, I only get a few grey hairs, but I have always covered them with permanent color. Did NOT expect this to completely hide my grey bits, but, lo and behold: I have not one single grey peaking through.
My favorite wella product I’ve used to date. Although, I’m looking forward to it fading, if only because I’m excited to try again with the level 4. My hair is quite nearly black at present.

After using a red dye (different brand) to fill in my natural tones, I used 2 boxes of "Light Natural" in an attempt to get back to brown. All the reviews mentioned it dyed darker so I purposely choose a lighter shade and it still is much darker than intended. I'm sure it'll fade lighter, but other than that, I enjoyed the product!

I left it in for 5.
It's a Demi permanent, so i knew it was going to start out very dark and pigmented and lighten with every shampoo.
So happy with this colour.
No, I'm not a professional colourist and I know the tube says its for professionals only, but I've been doing my own hair for years. Too expensive going to a colourist when I can do it myself.
