Other than that, on the whole, I'm very delighted with my new set. I love the beauty of the colors and the range. The only strange one I've tested so far is Dark Red. It looks like graphite pencil colorwise. I was very surprised to see that. The barrel is painted a definite red color, not at all a graphite gray color like the pencil itself.
The pencil's other physical qualities are good for the price. I like the wood of the barrel. Would have like to know what kind of wood it is. It shaves off well in my new Faber-Castell pencil sharpener. It holds up and I haven't had it spit or break in unwanted ways.
The pencils are thin, not the thick ones like Faber Castell. Again not a biggie due to the price I paid, $27.97 for a set of 120 different colors. Too bad open stock isn't available so that you can get replacement colors one or more at a time.
They go onto the paper nice and smoothly. They glide well with no catching against the grain of my Canson multimedia paper. The pigments aren't as strong as my Faber Castells but not bad at all. It's easy to get used to how lightly or hard you have to make your strokes to adjust between light, medium and intense pigmentation. It has an endless range acc. to how much pressure you put into your pencil strokes.
I don't know how colorfast they are. They are not rated on the barrel like more expensive brands are. But I seriously question how the other brands who put those ratings out are able to test that the color will last for 100 yrs. Seems unlikely.
I love that each pencil has not only a color number on the barrel but also a color name. Color name, not just a number, is very nice to see when you're drawing and reach for a color.
I like the metal case that holds them. The plastic trays are a little flimsy but not a big deal.
The company has been very nice corresponding with me, to say how to open the case (with picture up) when I first get them delivered. That will eliminate unhappy spills for a lot of people.
They also sent me free coloring pages. How nice is that? Thank you, you're doing great. I will recommend these to my friends.

In conclusione mi sento soddisfatta dell'acquisto.

Bon coloriage.

Seriously though, my mother had a stroke a couple years back and she's not been well as a result of it. The trend of mindfullness (ie adult colouring) sounds like a gimmick, but from personal experience it actually works. Both from a calming aspect and also in keeping the mind busy. The simple act of choosing colours to use to complement a picture and contrast with others requires a surprising amount of decision making. As it turns out, my mother loves it - and I admit I've had a fair bit of fun doing the same thing.
These pencils are perfect for that, as well as other tasks. They are good quality pencils encased in decent wood that doesn't splinter or crack, a good thickness to the core means that they don't crack and break or crumble so easily and there's a lot of choice in the tin. Admittedly having the pencils in plastic stacks means I have to get them out of the tin for my mother to use them, but that's a minor thing and I could always buy a hinged wooden layer box if she wants one.
Delivery on this product was quick, and the thing arrived in excellent condition - even allowing for the extreme abuse packages get at the hands of delivery people.
If you or somebody you know loves colouring, then this product is worth every penny. Great stuff, and good quality. You can't ask more for the price.

Here is what I have found:
Dark Magenta is a dark blue colour whereas the Magenta is a pink and I expected the Dark Magenta to be darker than the Magenta so that I could blend the colours together seamlessly?????
Indigo is a medium purple/violet colour and not a very dark gray blue as expected?????
Medium Violet Red is a brown colour????
The light Sea Green is a lot darker that the Dark Sea Green??????
Dark Slate Gray is a dark green?????
Jasmine is a brick colour, surely that should be a yellow of some description?????
Some of the reds/greens/turquoises are so similar that you can't tell the difference between them which makes the set actually a bit smaller than expected!
Apart from that the crayons work well and lay down well.
