Cute little USB hub. Doesn't include a power supply and this is clear. I pick this one up here at Amazon "Premium External Power Supply 5.0v 2.0A (2000mA) AC/DC Adapter for USB HUB". Noticed the robot's eyes are always On when the computer is off. With the external power supply I was not able to charge and iPad2 but everything else charged and worked fine.

Cute as a bug's ear and about as workable. Tried testing all three I ordered myself, gave one to my grandson to test. Lights come on in the eyes but connections from the hub to the phone won't work. Won't be returning because 1) ordered these for Xmas way back in October; 2) Had to rip the packages to pieces to get them out to test. I see the price went up from when I bought them, glad I'm not out the current price times three. Appears from reviews some people get them to work. Good luck, all!

So, I am a very busy guy and am always unplugging a USB to put in something new, and I have been doing it for about 2 months. I finally decided to get this USB hub, and it is great. Just plugged it in and it was ready to go.

Cons:
1. One of the eyes isn't lighting up for me :(

This item seems quite durable, does the job it was purchased for and is cute. Also it is less annoying than many character hubs I've seen in action- the eyes light up, that's all- it doesn't spin or make noise. Cord is long to reach from enough computer to desk top. Lastly,it's not ridiculously expensive like trademarked characters usually are.

This Robot USB hub is high in the cute factor. Windows 7 had no problem recognizing it, and it works fine. Construction quality is reasonable, and the cord length average at somewhere around 4 feet. The eyes are quite bright, and stay on even when the computer is off (at least on mine) so I imagine that might annoy some people.

Flash drives plugged into the hub are not registered with the laptop.
Circumvent by unplugging, and re-plugging, the hub, into the laptop USB port.
