I used this originally for my son's mirror cake. Check out the picture for the teal and blue. I wish this set had white! The outer layer was a which chocolate ganache mixed with gelatin and the colors popped. When I used it to add color to the outside of merengue treats it worked very well.

I went to use it with swiss merengue butter cream, pipping with the gel color painted in stripes for that multi color look while piping the frosting, and you can see the color separating. It did leave color yet I learned using oil based for the striping in the bag would work best.
