The drawing style is clean and ranges in detail from very fine to larger spaces. It is a well-ordered book, and includes many information pages about crafting spells, which is a nice bonus. It doesn't state if the artist is a witch in her bio, but I get the feeling she really knows what she's doing with these illustrations. It is a useful book if you want to create your own book of spells, but also, if you just want to color it for fun and like the pictures. You don't have to be a witch! You just need to employ a love for coloring. And get out your sparkle pens because the illustrations really want you to glitter them up.
The paper is medium weight. I had a little bleed-through using markers, but just placing a piece of paper behind the work is all you need. Each image is on one side of the page only. So if you wish, you can cut or tear out a page. And as mentioned, there are many pages decorated around the edges for your colors, but that are blank so you can write in your own spells.
I'm going to have some fun coloring in this book and learning a bit more about spellcraft. Highly recommended!
