Got this for my 9 yr old daughter as a slight upgrade for the cheap and basic crayola watercolors we got to start out with. These Ohuhu colors are actually quite a bit more opaque and chalky than the crayola set but she doesn’t seem to mind and loves all the different colors that she doesn’t have to mix primary colors in order to make.
All in all, good quality for the price for kiddos or someone just playing around with watercolors that doesn’t mind that the paint doesn’t quite behave the way true watercolors should. This set includes a lot of already diluted/mixed colors, so trying to mix two or more of the colors together probably wouldn’t yield the best results.
For reference and because I wish someone would post this sort of comparison for all the newbies so we don’t have to research quite as much, the Phoenix brand of watercolors or Paul Rubens would be a nice upgrade from this set, both sets offer vibrant paints while still being a bit more opaque than translucent. Next up from there would be the Sennelier La Petite, Grumbacher or Winsor Newton Cotman sets, which are all excellent quality student level sets that behave exactly as true watercolors should, allowing you to hone your technique (provided you have a good set of brushes and quality paper, which is a whole other subject lol).
Some top of the line professional watercolors would be David Smith, Sennelier Aquarelle, Winsor Newton Professional, Schmincke or White Nights, depending on personal preference. From what I’ve experienced so far, the Sennelier student line behaves identically to the Winsor Newton professional line. I'm new to water colours, I usually paint with acrylic so I got this set to play around with. The colours are bright, the lid works great for mixing and the brushes are great! Exactly what I was looking for and I liked that they included cards to swatch all the colours onto too. Great value for the price, highly recommend.

It has all 48 shades, 6 brushes, has all the colors you would need for an amazing painting, Has multiple shades of pink green and blue, I haven't used the lid for mixing yet but I hope I can trust it

These paints are good quality vibrant shades and the provided brushes are also good quality. The transperent cover can be used as a palette which is great.
