my size is between 9 and 9.5, so 9 is usually abit small and 9.5 is abit relaxed. so I ordered 9.5 but it gave me the usual feeling of a 9. I returned it and bought a 10, there we go, it was just the perfect size.
So I suggest you buy half a size larger in case of this nice winter boot.
Fit: These boots have so much internal padding that makes everything fit very snug. Of course, show fit depends on brand and I usually oscillate between half size up or down. In this case, it was a full size bigger. I wonder if 1.5 size bigger would be a better fit. I guess in my next purchase I'll find out, but I doubt it will happen in my lifetime. These boots are indestructible.
The internal lining has a very effective grip. Maybe too effective that it grips on my socks so well that it pulls some hairs out. I wear cotton socks, but I will try wool socks next time. I think these boots are strictly for outdoor only. I used them to a very cold day to commute to work. While outside, they were perfect, but once I got indoors, I could feel my feet sweating so much that I had to take them off and hire my bare feet under my desk for most of the day. The following day I brought an extra pair of shoes to wear at my desk. Anyway, I highly recommend these. I did very thorough research before buying them and these boots delivered on every promise (including the snug fit). Buy at least a size larger. If you went too far and when these arrive are too big, you can always exchange them or buy insoles. I'm an insole guy myself since I have a high arch anyway.
The boots are not heavy, my legs are not fatigued after a day of walking. Lace them up tight and they haven't leaked any water in yet and walking through snow, my feet have stayed dry and warm. No complaints - other than the sizing - ORDER A SIZE LARGER AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO.
I purchased this to replace a more expensive North Face boot which the sole had cracked after a couple years. I was a little surprised since I only use it when I use the snowblower and North Face footwear do not have the lifetime warranty. Anyways, it seems like the quality of this boot is of better quality plus the fit of these boots (for me) are so much more comfortable. I require a moderate arch support for my footwear and this one provides comfort in just the right places.
