The M16 –SS EDC Series - A proven knife design platform made simple, made tough, and made affordable. If you are a fan of the Kit Carson designed M16 tactical folding knives you are going to want to check out these stainless steel (SS) variations. Handles are shaped and contoured in the same confident grip M16 style, but are crafted of a retro flavored stainless steel. Handles are all finished in a classic black oxide finish. These folders are available in several blade style options including cutting edge configurations, each with their own user advantages to offer. Blades also feature the Carson Flipper for quick and convenient blade actuation-and the flipper doubles as an effective blade guard in the open position. Blade lock up is secured through the traditional frame lock mechanism. The M16-SS EDC Series is a straight up, "no frills" every day carry folder design that kicks butt in pure performance and value.

like i said, i love the flippers, but this flipper doesn't flip worth a toot becuz the pivot is too tight, when you loosen enuf so it flips ok, then the blade is off center when folded & actually often scrapes the blade on inside of handle... i bought one here on amazon a couple-three years ago & had this problem so i exchanged it, the replacement did the same thing so i returned it as well... just last year i picked up a used one of these cheap at auction, same problem as others, actually had finish worn off blade from scraping on handle, ended up selling that off becuz i was disappointed yet again... otherwise i love the size of this knife, the smallest of the m16 line, perfect for a discreet edc, but it just isn't manufactured to the same tolerances as the others... bummed the little one seems to be a dud altogether
The design is a hit, for sure. At cheese-and-cracker time, when no one remembered to bring out a knife, this knife gets a lot of admiring looks and comments from males and females alike.

-Tiny knife just fit into my tiny hand, love that.
-Razor sharp out of "box" (plastic package actually). It could shave off my hair.
-Come in with a headlight, which I appreciated it but not need it.
-It is half the price of the ones from CRKT official site.
-The frame lock is pretty stiff and difficult to release.
-Two scales have the same shape, without a cutoff on the non-locking scale, which makes it more difficult to release the frame lock.
-The hole on the flipper is NOT in the center, which bcould be seen from the attached. I totally doubt about the quality of the product.
-The edges of thumbstuds (actually the stop pins) and flipper are extremely sharp. Each time when I put it into my pocket, I could feel that they are cutting cloth and my finger. They should all be chamfered, but obviously not.
-No "CRKT" logo on the clip.
-Different logo and words on blade from the ones on CRKT official website.
-Not a well-made knife. But it is cheap and could cut things. Just make some assumptions. If this is a real CRKT m16, there might be a quality control issue. If this is a counterfeit, well, 25.95 might be expensive. So, 2 stars for the good, and 3 stars for the bad and the ugly.
To be continued.
