Size 12 buy a large

The jacket itself seems like a great jacket but I wanted to post a review in case there are any other non-curvy size 12s out there. Most of these reviews said to size up, so I did, to an XL. A large would probably have been perfect. I'm wearing a sweatshirt under the jacket in these photos and there is still a TON of room on the bottom half and arms. I suppose if you are curvy, it would be worth sizing up but if you are relatively straight down stick to a large.

Light weight, great length, size up if layering underneath

This rain jacket is perfect! Very light weight but has a light lining so it doesn't feel like plasticy. I was concerned about it looking too baggy, especially since I got a Large, but it looks great! I wanted something light weight and a little longer to cover my butt and thighs. I got the Large and I'm glad I sized up! I'm wearing a North Face AND a long sleeve underneath the coat in the picture, and there's still some room without looking too big. For reference, I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs. BUY IT! You won't be disappointed.

I have been hunting for a good rain jacket for a while. Most when you see the fabric and touch them are not really for rain and water proof, just light drizzle. This is light weight, fitted, flattering, fashionable, long to cover the assets, and omnitech which is waterproof. Has zippered pockets adjustable sleeve cuffs, and a good hood that will stay up. Bought 4 jackets until i found this one which meets all of my needs to be out in the rain for kids sporting events. Definitely size up if you intend to layer up underneath; got a medium. 5'3" normally a small, but the medium allows me to wear bulky sweatshirts underneath with no issue. Only issue is the sleeve length is long but i guess will be handy if i want to hide my hands in a downpour.
